THE WHITE STRIPES star Jack White insists he wouldn't hesitate in giving fellow Detroit, Michigan rocker JASON STOLLSTEIMER a beating if he had the chance to relive his most violent moment again.

The rocker was charged with assault and battery and forced into anger management classes after he left the VON BONDIES singer Stollsteimer battered and bruised following an attack in December 2003 at music venue THE MAGIC STICK.

But, White claims he'd do exactly the same thing if he had the chance to live his life over.

He says, "It's definitely something that should've happened a long time before that. I don't know what took me so long.

"One of the DETROIT COBRAS (another Detroit band) told me about this SEAN PENN movie, Mystic River, and a line about how, when you're a leader, sometime you have to be the janitor too. And that's true - sometimes you have to clean house."

Meanwhile, White's White Stripes partner Meg White insists he was handed a severe sentence and should never have been dubbed temperamental after his attack on Stollsteimer.

She adds, "People say Jack has a short temper, but he went years of being f**ked with by Jason. Jack had been holding himself back."
