Jacyee Chan was apprehended for drug-related charges, and confessed to smoking marijuana.

Jackie Chan may have had a crime free career, but that cannot be said about his actor son Jacyee Chan as he was recently arrested in Beijing for drug charges, and later confessed to smoking marijuana, reports confirm.

The capital city's police announced on Monday (Aug 18th) that two actors, the 32 year-old son of Jackie, and Taiwanese movie star Kai Ko, 23, were detained last Thursday (Aug 14th) for drug-related offences, the South Chinese Morning Post reported.

Katy Perry wants to use her fame and fortune for good and plans on doing so with her new role as a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador. On Tuesday, 3 December, Perry joined the ranks of David Beckham, Orlando Bloom, Jackie Chan, Mia Farrow and more in pledging her time to the charity, following a gala event held by the charity in New York City.

Jackie Chan's career has been defined by performing some of cinematic's most visually spectacular stunts, but is time ticking for the mixed martial artist who turns 60 next year?

Chan wrote, directed, co-produced and starred in his 2012 action movie 'Chinese Zodiac' where he plays a treasure hunter and claimed it was his most ambitious project to date.

But with the 'Rush Hour' actor turning 60 this coming April, rumours are frequently suggesting that this may be his last big stunt movie role.

Sylvester Stallone announced on Twitter that Bruce Willis is leaving the Expendables movie franchise and Harrison Ford will be appearing in 'Expendables 3'.

Sylvester Stallone announced via Twitter that Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford would feature in Expendables 3. The Rocky actor criticised Bruce Willis, describing him as "lazy" and "greedy" following his decision to leave the film franchise.

Willis appeared in the first two Expendables films. The films are notable for casting classic 'tough guy' actors including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chuck Norris.

Jackie Chan Hoax Proved False Via Facebook Picture

Jackie Chan has laid to rest rumours of his death by posting a picture on his Facebook page. Rumours have been circulating online for a few weeks but the actor finds it amusing more than irritating.

A hoax circulated last week claiming actor and martial arts master Jackie Chan had died. Last week Chan calmed worried fans by posting a picture of himself with the day's date (June 21st 2013) displayed on a newspaper. Chan writing on the post said 'I took a photo with today's date, just in case you don't believe me!'

This is not the first time Chan has been rumoured to have died. The same hoax occurred in 2011 when a Facebook page claiming to be in memory to the actor went viral.

Jackie Chan may be famed for smashing up blocks of concrete with his bare fists but the kung-fu star showed cement a softer touch yesterday, leaving his prints for the second time in his career.

59 year-old Jackie Chan, who made a name for himself by performing his own stunts throughout his illustrious martial arts career, has left second imprints of his hands and feet outside Hollywood's Chinese Theatre after the first set disappeared.

Hong Kong-born Chan has starred in over a hundred films since his first appearance as a child actor in 1962's Big and Little Wong Tin Bar, crossing into Hollywood in 1995 with cult-film Rumble in the Bronx and receiving a Sidewalk Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2002.

Described as a more exclusive honour than Hollywood's WoF by The Daily Mail, a special 'handprint' ceremony was held yesterday (6th June) where Chan made his prints in front of an audience including Jaden Smith - son of Will Smith and Chan's young co-star in the recent remake of The Karate Kid.

Sylvester Stallone has announced The Expendables 3, though fans may be more intrigued by his new project by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

It's shaping up to be a pretty hectic 18 months or so for Sylvester Stallone, who will star in two big-budget movies for Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment, Escape Plan and The Expendables 3. The former stars Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger as prison cellmates who work together to escape. The Great Escape, essentially.

The movie, directed by Swedish filmmaker Mikael Hafstrom, is written by Miles Chapman and Jason Keller, according to the Hollywood Reporter. It will go up against Joseph Gordon-Lecitt's directorial debut Don Jon and fantasy movie Seventh Son on October 18, 2013. The Expendables action adventure franchise continues on August 15, 2014 with the third movie, once again starring Stallone as Barney Ross, who leads his group of mercenaries into another seemingly impossible mission. Martial arts legend Jackie Chan and Oscar winner Nicolas Cage are set to be appear in the movie, which will undoubtedly continue to the huge success of the franchise. As yet, the other major studios have not announced any movies for release on the same date.

The Expendables 2, starring Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris and Terry Crews, opened on August 16, 2012 to takings of $28.6 million. The movie has since earned $300 million worldwide.

Jackie Chan Caught Up In Anti-American Storm

Jackie Chan found himself at the center of a controversy, accusing him of anti-Americanism, following a heated interview on Chinese television, during which the action star called America “the most corrupt country in the world.”

Chan made himself a world-wide star when he moved from his native Hong Kong to Hollywood to further his film career, taking on roles in such hit action/comedy films as the Rush Hour trilogy and Rumble in the Bronx. In numerous past interviews Jackie has often stated his appreciation of the American movie industry and the country's population for giving him his chance in the movies, but what most people outside of his native China might not know is that the movie star is one of the ruling Communist Party's biggest supporters and as such he readily defends his country's government.

In light of the recent news that the government censored one of the country's top newspapers, numerous press outlets have condemned the country's officials once again for its notorious censorship regime. In an interview with one of the country's top television shows, Chan - speaking in Chinese - accused America of being the most corrupt country in the world and strongly defended his country's domestic policies, regardless of the flack the ruling Communist Party so often picks up. Chan has also criticised Hong Kong and Taiwan for their democratic policy, accusing the populations of having too much freedom - and as such the comments made by Chan came as no surprise in China, but have shocked some outside of the Asian republic.

Kung Fu Panda 2 Review

Jack Black's cuddly alter-ego is back for another epic adventure in this lively, colourful sequel. It pretty much has the same plot as the final act of the 2008 original, and it's not quite as funny, but it's beautifully animated and thoroughly engaging.

Now that Dragon Warrior panda Po (voiced by Black) has joined the Furious Five (Jolie's tigress, Rogen's mantis, Chan's monkey, Liu's viper and Cross' crane), there's peace in the valley again. But in a distant kingdom, the villainous peacock Lord Shen (Oldman) has developed a secret weapon with which he plans to take over China and put an end to kung fu. Although he's been rattled for decades, since his soothsayer (Yeoh) told him he'll be conquered by a panda.

And he knows the Dragon Warrior is on his way.

The Karate Kid Review

Good

Even though it's corny, unnecessary and far too long, this remake of the 1984 hit is surprisingly engaging. This is mainly due to the crowd-pleasing story and a relatively understated performance from Jackie Chan.

Dre (Smith) is annoyed when his mother (Henson) moves from Detroit to Beijing, where he's mercilessly bullied by a gang of schoolboy thugs led by Cheng (Wang Zhenwei). Sure, there's the cute violinist (Han) to distract him, but things don't really start looking up until the maintenance man (Chan) agrees to teach him kung fu. Now Dre has three goals: learn skills to defend himself, compete in an upcoming tournament against Cheng and his evil mentor (Yu), and of course get the girl.

Kung Fu Panda Review

It's surprising that Hollywood has taken until 2008 to come up with Kung Fu Panda. Taking your factory-issue period-piece martial arts plot -- wherein schlubby protagonist finds his inner warrior as a means of expressing filial piety and ensuring the harmonious survival of his village -- and combining it with supercharged computer animation, PG-friendly combat, and a flurry of cute animals just makes good business sense. One could argue about the logic of surrounding Jackie Chan (voicing a monkey who's also a kung fu master) with a Hollywood stew of A-list talent eager to scoop up some easy voice-actor money, but when the film's star is an overweight panda voiced by Jack Black, such kvetching is almost beside the point.

Blazing across the screen with eye-popping, sublime artwork, Kung Fu Panda sets itself apart from the modern domestic animation trend with its sheer beauty. From an opening dream sequence whose abstract style seems culled straight from a modern manga, the film enters instant classic status as some of the most gorgeous animation Hollywood has produced since the golden age of Disney. Eschewing the cold and severe art of Dreamworks' Shrek films, the makers of Kung Fu Panda fill the screen with painterly backdrops of mountain vistas and fluttering leaves that give Zhang Yimou a run for his money. It somehow makes it all the funnier to have the titular panda, Po (Black), come huffing and wheezing through the impeccable and non-specific ancient China landscapes like a less-active relative of Hurley on Lost.

Rush Hour 3 Review

For all the talk of his beguiling cameo as a police chief, Roman Polanski shows up in Rush Hour 3 for exactly two scenes for about two minutes. In fact, the French police have absolutely nothing to do with anything in the third Rush Hour installment. Polanski simply acts as a diacritic; a punctuation mark to let us know we're entering and exiting the French portion of the program. And although they are given more screen time, Ingmar Bergman-regular Max Von Sydow and French actor/director Yvan Attal serve similar purposes: They're garnish on a liver sandwich made with moldy bread and mayonnaise that started going green around the time of the Bay of Pigs.

Rush Hour 3 plunks our questionable partners, the loose-mouthed Carter (Chris Tucker) and elastic Lee (Jackie Chan), into an international scandal involving the Chinese Triad election that takes them from sunny Los Angeles to gay Paris. Lee's friend and employer Consul Hu (Tzi Ma) is about to blow the lid off the Triads when a sniper snags him a few centimeters north of his heart. Hu's friend Vernard (Von Sydow) OKs Lee and Carter's trip to his hometown of Paris, where, for one reason or another, the Chinese Triad have decided to have an election.

Rush Hour 2 Review

I enjoyed the original Rush Hour, the 1998 action comedy that grossed more than $250 million worldwide. Through its central characters, played by Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, the film provided audiences with a fresh, exciting combination of action and outrageous comedy. Although not a great film, and certainly not worthy of a sequel, director Brett Ratner admirably stitched together two immensely different characters, finding a charismatic delight in the diversity of Tucker and Chan.

Unfortunately Ratner does not find the same joy in Rush Hour 2, an occasionally amusing comedic adventure that leaves us with a profoundly annoying Chris Tucker fighting for attention while Jackie Chan fights one-dimensional Chinese villains with his bare fists. The film contains some neat action sequences, a great third act, and the most hilarious outtakes I can remember - but the clash of genres feels intrusive and awkward. I wanted more excitement, more character dimension, and a whole hell of a lot less of Chris Tucker's irritating mouth.

Around The World In 80 Days (2004) Review

The 50-year-old Jackie Chan has lost a step or two. This remake of the award winning 1956 classic Around the World in 80 Days is clearly just a vehicle to further his career; unfortunately it mainly showcases his age. His fight scenes are laughably choreographed and his acting comes across as forced.

Chan's problems are indicative of many others faced by this overblown $110 million mess. Even as production was finishing, a distributor had not been found. Not surprisingly, Disney eventually picked up the film. Yet, what is surprising is Disney's decision not to distribute a challenging film like Fahrenheit 9/11, but instead to release this one, a flavorless and disgraceful remake.

The Medallion Review

When Jackie Chan was in his low-budget, Hong Kong action-comedy prime, it was easy to forgive his better movies for simplistic plots and mediocre (sometimes downright bad) acting because enjoying them came down to two things: Chan's comedic charm and the dangerous, awe-inspiring, ingeniously choreographed fights and stunts that he always performed himself.

When Chan started making $60- to $100- million Hollywood films, it was reasonable to begin expecting more, but the star just hasn't lived up to those higher expectations except when sharing the load with ad-libbing, scene-stealing Owen Wilson in the buddy pictures "Shanghai Noon" and "Shanghai Knights."

But "The Medallion," which is a Hong Kong production made with Hollywood money, feels like the return of good ol' cheesy, charismatic, pardonably haphazard Jackie Chan -- even if the daredevil actor has finally begun accepting the inevitable ravages of age and injury.

Around The World In 80 Days Review

Jules Verne might have a hard time recognizing his source material in the Jackie Chan action-comedy adaptation of "Around the World in 80 Days," but for non-purists, it's easy to forgive the many liberties taken in this funny, fleet-footed summer-matinee romp.

Although the ostensible main character is still screwball Victorian inventor Phileas Fogg (lanky Steve Coogan) -- who wagers against the stuffed shirts of the English scientific establishment that he can circumnavigate the globe in the titular time period -- this version of the story more literally revolves around Passepartout (Chan), Fogg's valet who has his own reasons for traipsing across continents.

Passepartout has stolen a jade Buddha from a Bank of London vault in order to return it to its rightful place: his native village in China. Fogg is his ticket to safe passage -- or so he thinks.
