Jake's Lifeguard Memories

Movie star Jake Gyllenhaal once had to urinate on a swimmer's leg while working as a lifeguard in Martha's Vineyard.

The actor worked as a guard three summers in a row when he was growing up, and still recalls his most bizarre moment.

He says, "Someone got stung by a man-o-war once and I peed on their leg."

Unfortunately, that was his only highlight in three years on the beach.

He adds, "It was a pretty tame beach. Occasionally, I would like to just pick up the lifeguard buoy and run down the beach like something was actually happening, BAYWATCH-style."
