Since the beginning of his career, Jake Gyllenhaal has stared in over 30 movies, and is often recorded on-set during the filming process. Gyllenhaal made his debut screen performance in 1991's 'City Slickers' which was nominated for several golden globe awards and won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor (for Jack Palance). A number of other movies that Gyllenhaal has appeared in also received critical acclaim, while some have gone on to attain a cult-classic status, like in the case of 2001's 'Donnie Darko'.
