A secret memo from James Bond creator IAN FLEMING outlining his ideas for the first 007 movie is to be sold at auction.

The note, sent to playwright Jack Whittingham in 1958, suggests producers should source names for the movie's villains from a phone directory and advises them to pack the film with "incidents".

The debut Bond movie, Dr. No, was released four years later in 1962 but bosses are said to have used Fleming's suggestions for 1965's Thunderball instead.

The memo will go on sale at Bonhams auction house in London later this month (18Dec13).
