CBS have signed another star from across the pond to host the network's 12:37 a.m. slot talk show, naming comedic actor James Corden as the replacement of the current 'Late Late Show' host, Craig Ferguson, who will leave in December.

On Monday (Sept 8th) CBS confirmed that Corden, who starred alongside Keira Knightley in 'Begin Again,' will take the helm of the late-night talk show early next year.

The 35 year-old Brit's successful career took off when he co-created the award-winning British series 'Gavin & Stacy,' he also starred as Paul Potts 2013's 'One Chance,' and he can be next seen in the movie 'Into the Woods,' which premieres in December. He has also won a BAFTA Award, a Tony Award, and currently hosts the U.K. sports-themed comedy game show 'A League of Their Own.'

Ferguson's ten-year stint as the host of the 'Late Late Show' ends in December
Ferguson, who began working on the 'Late Late Show' in 2005, announced that he will be departing from CBS in April, noting his current contract will expire in December 2014 after a ten year-run. The Scottish comedian has already signed on to be the host of a 7 p.m. syndicated talk show on Tribune stations that will run daily for half an hour, the upcoming show is being pushed for a launch in the fall of 2015.
