To be available exclusively to Apple subscribers.
James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke' video sensation is about to take off in a 'Late Late Show' spin-off series of its own, and it's just been announced that Apple Music have bought the rights from CBS Television Studios. That means Apple subscribers will be able to watch the shows exclusively!
'Carpool Karaoke' is sold to Apple Music
'Carpool Karaoke' is set to hit Apple Music with 16 brand new episodes in the same vein as the segment of the same name on 'The Late Late Show With James Corden'. The segments are usually around 15 minutes each and often go viral with guests such as Michelle Obama, Stevie Wonder, One Direction and Elton John all having joined him for a sing-a-long and a car-ride since the show began. The new show will be similar premise, though the journey destinations will be of significance to each celebrity and each episode.
'We love music, and Carpool Karaoke celebrates it in a fun and unique way that is a hit with audiences of all ages', said Apple's SVP Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue in a statement obtained by Deadline. 'It's a perfect fit for Apple Music - bringing subscribers exclusive access to their favorite artists and celebrities who come along for the ride.'
