James Corden craves a role in 'Zoolander 2'.

The 36-year-old entertainer, who recently took up hosting responsibilities on 'The Late Late Show', is keen to star in the eagerly-awaited sequel to the 2001 comedy hit, which starred Ben Stiller as dimwitted male model Derek Zoolander, according to The Sun newspaper.

Since the sequel was announced, a host of big-name stars have been linked to a role in the movie, including the Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

The designer was approached to make an appearance in the long-awaited movie, but explained he has no desire to turn his hand to acting.

He said: ''I don't want to be in the movie. They wanted me to be in the movie! I'm not an actor.''

Meanwhile, Kanye West is also apparently set to feature in the film after his friend Will Ferrell suggested him for a part.

What's more, Kanye is requesting his wife Kim Kardashian West be given a cameo in the comedy movie.

A source said: ''Kanye is friends with Will and appeared briefly in 'Anchorman 2' but he wanted to be in 'Zoolander 2' even more. It's very likely that Kim will also appear in some capacity.''

'Zoolander 2' is set for release in February 2016.
