'The Interview': Are Seth Rogen And James Franco About To Start Another World War?

Seth Rogen James Franco

Seth Rogen and James Franco’s brand of stoner comedy isn’t for everyone, but it rarely goes beyond immature jokes, underdog characters and a sideways look at America. Now, it would seem, they’ve annoyed one of the world’s superpowers.

Seth RogenHey, it's Seth Rogen

North Korea, according to the AP, is warning that the release of ‘The Interview’ – in which the U.S government charge Rogen and Franco with assassinating Kim Jong Un – would be an “act of war”.

Forget Franco And Rogen - 'The Interview' Poster Is A Thing Of Beauty

Seth Rogen James Franco Lizzy Caplan Evan Goldberg

The first trailer for James Franco and Seth Rogen's new movie The Interview rolled out online on Wednesday night (June 11, 2014) giving fans their first look at the frankly bizarre comedy that sees a would-be interviewer and his producer buddy tasked with assassinating North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. Rogen had tweeted out the stunning poster a couple of hours before.

The Interview poster

Franco plays the clueless tabloid TV presenter who is informed that Jong-un is a fan of his low-brow show and wants him to become the first western journalist to quiz him. Before he and his pal head out to the east, they are contacted by the CIA who want to capitalize on the opportunity to get close to the fearsome leader. James Franco Pens 'Fictional' Short Story About Rejecting Lindsay Lohan

James Franco

James Franco wanted to clear up any speculation that suggests he has slept with Lindsay Lohan. The 36 year-old star was one of the 36 names on a list the actress allegedly wrote, naming all the famous people she had slept with.

James Franco
Franco's short story recalled the time he didn't have sex with Lohan

But Franco doesn't seem to recall ever having sexual relations with Lohan, and he recently wrote a short story for Vice, titled Bungalow 89, about the time he rejected her offer when they both lived at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont.

James Franco Wrote A Short Story... And It Stars Lindsay Lohan

James Franco Lindsay Lohan

Besides starring in movies, producing movies, working for various diplomas and occasionally “chatting” with underage fans, James Franco apparently finds time for literary pursuits – like the short story he recently penned for Vice magazine. Franco’s work will be published in the fiction issue of Vice and centers on a character called “Lindsay Lohan”. Now there’s an unexpected plot twist.

James Franco
James Franco wrote a short story about Lindsay Lohan.

The story reads much less like fiction than actual recollections from Franco’s life, but we’ll never know. In it, Franco visits Lohan in the Chateau Marmont hotel (from where Lohan was once reportedly banned thanks to an unpaid bill). He reads her Salinger stories, listens to her ramble about her memories, and zones out on a giant Gucci billboard of himself outside. But he still plays with the idea of whether the entire encounter is made up, writing: "Do you think I've created this? This dragon girl, lion girl, Hollywood hellion, terror of Sunset Boulevard, minor in the clubs, Chateau Demon? Do you think this is me?"

James Franco Writes ‘Fictional’ Story About NOT Sleeping With A Girl Named Lindsay Lohan

James Franco Lindsay Lohan

When James Franco’s name appeared on Lindsay Lohan’s leaked ‘sex list’ one of the great sexual mysteries of our time began. Did James Franco actually sleep with Lindsay Lohan? We asked....if he didn't, why would she say he did? Then there was the more important question of, why are we even discussing this? Well apparently there’s still more to be discussed on this one as in the latest development, Franco has penned a fictional story about not sleeping with a girl named Lindsay Lohan, a story similar to the one he told Howard Stern (about not sleeping with a girl named Lindsay Lohan). Confusing? A little, yes, but just wait till you read said story, prepare for any love you had left for Franco to slowly evaporate.

James FrancoJames Franco: did not sleep with the real or fictional Lindsay Lohan, apparently

The story, entitled Bungalow 89, has been published in Vice’s fiction issue, so you can kind of guess what we might be in for. James Franco plus Vice sounds like it could be a recipe for try hard artsy junk. But when you add in a few spoonfuls of J.D. Salinger, you’ve got a yourself feast so rich in pretentiousness you’ll need a sick bag to make it through the first few paragraphs.

Emma Watson Joins The List Of Celebrity Graduates

Emma Watson John Legend James Franco Lupita Nyong'o

It’s no Hogwarts, but it just might be the next best thing. Actress Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the hit franchise Harry Potter, recently graduated from the Ivy League school Brown University for a degree in English literature. Enrolling in the school in 2009, the degree had been a work in progress as Watson took breaks in between to finish off the remaining Harry Potter films, and she even worked on her schooling abroad as she studied at Oxford University in England, as well. You’d think adapting to the college life could be difficult for someone with such a star status, but Watson said it was pretty easy adjusting. "I've never even been asked for an autograph on campus," she said in an interview in 2013. "I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook."

Emma Watson Red CarpetEmma Watson graduated from Brown University

Watson joins the list of quite a few celebrities that have graduated from top tier schools, and it’s an admirable accomplishment whether it was done before they became famous, or after. In fact, there’s probably a ton of your favorite celebrities that you never even knew had a degree in some weird categories completely unrelated to their career choice. Either way, for these actors and musicians, they’ve proven that at one point or another, an A mark was once a more important accolade than an Oscar or a Grammy.

Kermiggy Vs. Kimye - The Muppets Mock Kim Kardashian & Kanye West's Vogue Cover

Kim Kardashian Kanye West The Muppets James Franco Seth Rogen Anna Wintour

A war of words has been waging on social media between those who believe Kim Kardashian is the height of fashion and sophistication and those who feel her name should not be mentioned in the same sentence as such words. Since she appeared on the cover of US Vogue with fiancé Kanye West, a number of couples have stepped forward to show they can out do the loved up couple. These aren't just any couples either: Miss Piggy and Kermit as well as James Franco and Seth Rogen have made their own photographic contribution to the Kimye Vogue debate.

Kim Kardashian

Miss Piggy is a style icon. No one can possibly deny this: she can sing (sort of); dance (most definitely); has worked for Vogue (as a Plus Size Editor); and has graced our screens since 1974. She's one of the greatest stars of all time, yet she was still pipped to the cover of Vogue by none other than the reigning Queen of popular culture, Kim Kardashian. We can weep at the cruel injustice - everyone knows Miss Piggy and her beau are considerably more Vogue friendly than Kardashian and Kanye but alas it was not meant to be.

Very Good

Funded by fans, this follow-up to the cult TV show feels a lot like an extended reunion episode. But even those unfamiliar with the series will enjoy the twisty plot and smart dialog, plus the sparky Kristen Bell in the title role. And while there are rather too many characters for a stand-alone movie, they all feed nicely into the central mystery.

After escaping from the run-down seaside town of Neptune, California, nine years ago, Veronica (Bell) has become a New York lawyer. But just as she's on the verge of landing her first proper job, an old friend is murdered back home, waking her investigatory instincts. The worst of it is that her ex Logan (Dohring) is the prime suspect, so Veronica heads home to help him clear his name. Her private eye dad (Colantoni) just rolls his eyes when she slips back into her old mystery-solving role, working with her pals Mac, Weevil and Wallace (Majorino, Capra and Daggs). But three other classmates - Gia, Cobb and Dick (Ritter, Starr and Hansen) - are also involved. And the fact that she keeps putting off her return to New York annoys her boyfriend Piz (Lowell).

The most refreshing thing about this film is the way filmmaker Thomas refuses to play by the usual rules. Bell may have been offered a dream job, but we fully understand why she's blowing it off to help her friends. And the whodunit plot is just intriguing enough to hold our interest: we don't really care who the villain really is, but it's fun to watch Veronica dig through the clues and challenge every level of authority. And the script gleefully stirs in red herrings, side-plots and lots of suspicious-looking characters.

The film's star Oscar Isaac was also honoured with the Best Actor award

The film was crowned Best Picture ahead of American Hustle, which came second in the overall voting, and 12 Years a Slave, which placed third. Despite winning yet another award, the Coen Brother's 'a week in the life' tale of a musician traveling through the Greenwich folk scene in 60's New York is still largely considered an outsider for major awards success, however if these gongs keep on piling up for the Coens then the Academy may be persuaded to change their mind somewhat when the votes are cast.

Interior. Leather Bar. Review

Excellent

With layers of meaning, this offbeat documentary by James Franco and Travis Mathews (I Want Your Love) provokes viewers as we watch its ideas challenge the people who are on-screen. The central issue is artistic expression, more specifically the way sexuality is depicted and censored in the movies.

Franco says that his goal as an artist is to continually shake himself up, and this project offered a specific challenge: "I don't like the fact that I have been brought up to think in a certain way. We can put people killing each other in movies, but we can't put realistic sex." To explore the idea, he goes back to the notorious 1980 thriller Cruising starring Al Pacino as a cop who goes undercover in the gay leather-bar scene to chase a serial killer. The film was the subject of protests while it was shooting and when it was released, and director William Friedkin (hot off his work on The Exorcist) was forced to cut 40 minutes from the film to secure an R rating.

Franco and Mathews' idea here is to recreate these lost 40 minutes, imagining what they could possibly have contained. So they gather a group of actors and a crew and document the process, showing us behind-the-scenes conversations as well as some fairly explicit finished footage. At the centre is Franco's friend Val Lauren, who takes the Pacino role with more than a little trepidation. The charged conversations between Lauren and Franco are the heart of this film, as they waver between fear and excitement over the project. There's clearly a spike of adrenaline for everyone as they all put themselves into an unfamiliar situation, then explore why it feels so uncomfortable.

Homefront Review

OK

With a powerhouse cast and an anaemic script, this violent revenge thriller never quite gets off the ground. It's watchable for the character detail, but resolutely refuses to make any logical sense as it charges through its corny plot. Fortunately the slick filmmaking and charismatic acting hold our attention, adding a hint of sophistication to the bluntly brutal story.

It's set in the Louisiana bayou, where former undercover agent Phil (Statham) is trying to have a quiet life with his young daughter (Vidovic). But the locals are wary of outsiders, and a schoolyard confrontation escalates into a feud between Phil and a resentful woman (Bosworth) who calls her gangster brother Gator (Franco) for help in getting even. Gator quickly discovers Phil's past, then enlists his trashy pal Sheryl (Ryder) to contact Phil's old enemies. But as these ruthless thugs descend on the bayou, they fail to take into consideration the fact that Phil has nearly super-human fighting skills.

There's plenty of possibility in this rather tired premise, but Stallone's boneheaded script never bothers to make things believable, skipping over key details and indulging in trite coincidences. Fleder manages to obscure this with his fluid, pacey direction, and the cast is unusually good for such a simplistic thriller. The charismatic Statham doesn't stretch himself much, occasionally attempting a bit of real acting in the father-daughter scenes (his romance with LeFevre's teacher is never developed). Bosworth and Ryder add some unpredictable edges to their stereotypical roles. And it's Franco who steals the film as an unusually thoughtful redneck thug. Although his moral quandary doesn't put off any of the nastiness.

As I Lay Dying Review

Good

James Franco makes his directing debut with this ambitious adaptation of William Faulkner's notoriously downbeat novel. No surprise: it's extremely grim! It's also a bit too cleverly shot and edited to tell the tale from each character's perspective, which means there's no central point to draw us in emotionally.

The story takes place in rural Mississippi in the early 20th century, where the Bundren family have surrounded Addie (Grant) on her deathbed. Her children are all nearby: daughter Dewey Dell (O'Reilly) stays by her side, Cash (Parrack) saws timber for her coffin, Jewel (Marshall-Green) rides his precious horse to clear his mind, and Darl (Franco) tries to keep everyone happy, including youngest brother Vard (Permenter). But their dad Anse (Nelson) has promised to bury Addie in Jefferson, a three-day journey away. And as they painstakingly make their way across the countryside, each of them has a personal issue to deal with along the way.

All of the characters get a chance to narrate part of the film, which lets us see their inner thoughts and dreams and understand the secrets they are hiding from each other. Along with Franco's use of split screens to show scenes from multiple angles, this essentially makes us all-seeing witnesses to the story, unable to dive in and engage with the raw emotions that are churning around everyone. The film is beautifully shot and acted with real soulfulness, but it also feels eerily dispassionate about these fragile people.

Jason Statham & James Franco Face Off In Explosive 'Homefront' Trailer [Still + Trailer]

Jason Statham James Franco Sylvester Stallone Winona Ryder Kate Bosworth

Homefront is a tense action thriller that wants to poke holes in the typical story of a rural town's collective hostility towards a new family. Based on the Chuck Logan novel of the same name, the film will introduce Logan's much-used character Phil Broker (Jason Statham) to the big screen for the first time and judging by the trailer alone, we should be in for a wild ride when the film is released later this year.

Jason Statham Izabela Vidovic
Things start off blissfully for Broker and his daughter

Broker is an ex-DEA agent (not a former Minnesota cop, as he is in the book) who moves out to a rural town in the south of the United States to begin a new life with his daughter, Maddie (Izabela Vidovic), following the death of his wife. At first, things seem to be as idyllic as Broker would have hoped, with horses to ride, lakes to swim in and a large house to call their own, however things soon take a turn for the worse when Broker's daughter fights back against the school bully.

Sandra Bullock plays a medical engineer sent into space with astronaut veteran George Clooney. With little experience in space, the engineer, Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock), is reliant on Matt Kowalsky (Clooney). From the trailer and IMDB description, Bullock is reliant on Clooney when they are caught in debris and forced to survive in space. Lovelace Review

Very Good

An unusual structure gives this biopic a surprising kick as it explores both sides of the porn industry: the glamour and the sleaze. Oscar-winning documentary filmmakers Epstein and Friedman (The Times of Harvey Milk) keep things so balanced that it sometimes feels a bit clinical, never letting us feel the intense emotions that gurgle throughout the story. But it's a strikingly well-made film with a terrific all-star cast.

It also cleverly looks like it was actually made in the early 1970s, the period in which it's set. This is when 21-year-old Linda Boreman (Seyfried) left the home of her harshly religious parents (Stone and Patrick) to live with her free-spirited boyfriend Chuck (Sarsgaard). By 1972 she was the most famous porn-star on earth, as the lead actress in the crossover adult movie Deep Throat. But the glamorous lifestyle covered a much darker reality: that the abusive Chuck forced her to make the film while selling her body to anyone willing to pay. And it took her several years to break free, tell her story and stand up against the industry that used her.

Cleverly, the film carefully lays out the male-dominated culture in the industry along with the jet-set high life before rewinding and showing us the gruesome underbelly. It's a bold gimmick that undermines the emotional momentum but forces us to examine our own perceptions. And it helps that the filmmakers recreate the period without much fussiness. Yes, there's a lot of big hair and groovy music, but it's never played for laughs. Everything centres on the characters, who are sharply well-played. Seyfried brings a terrific fragility to Linda, while Sarsgaard reveals Chuck's darkness in a complex way. The unrecognisable Stone is also excellent, while Patrick has the film's most moving moment.

Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's biopic of porn actress Linda Lovelace has been in development for some time. It's no secret that before Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard came along, Kate Hudson was offered the role in 2011, with James Franco in talks to play Linda's husband Chuck Traynor.

Amanda Seyfried On Taking 'The Riskiest Role In Hollywood'

Amanda Seyfried Peter Sarsgaard James Franco Rob Epstein

Amanda Seyfried, the 27-year-old actress who plays Deep Throat adult film star Linda Lovelace in Rob Epstein's new biopic, says she considered the role the 'riskiest' in Hollywood after first reading the script. Of course, the subject matter of 'Lovelace' will always raise eyebrows, but is the new movie co-starring Peter Sarsgaard and James Franco really that risqué?

Amanda SeyfriedAmanda Seyfried as 'Linda Lovelace' in Rob Epstein's Forthcomig Biopic

"I read the script and I was like, 'Wow, this is the riskiest thing that's happening [in Hollywood] right now,'" said Seyfried to Elle magazine this month. "The first thing you think about is that it could have ruined my career. At the same time, I was like, 'This is my chance to show them, to show the industry, to be recognized.'"

The first trailer for Rob Epstein and Jeffrey's Friedman's biopic of 1970's adult movie star Linda Lovelace has rolled out online. Lovelace, stars Les Miserables actress Amanda Seyfried in the lead role, with the excellent Peter Sarsgaard playing her sleazy and abusive husband Chuck Traynor.

Linda Lovelace was a hugely successful pornographic actress who hit global stardom with her 1972 hardcore film 'Deep Throat'. Although apparently happy, feisty and at ease on the surface, she suffered severe abuse and violence at the hands of her husband and manager Chuck Traynor who forced her into the sex industry at gunpoint; a stark contrast to her previous life, being well-known by her friends for keeping all her previous boyfriends at a good distance. While she apparently seemed to enjoy the highlife of national and international stardom, she made attempts to quit pornography to the anger of Traynor, who did everything he could to frighten her into submission. A vulnerable woman who spent her life being used, and who would go on to be a key figure in later anti-pornography movements.

Amanda Seyfried Sharon Stone Adam Brody Chris Noth Juno Temple James Franco

Anticipation mounted, as the first trailer for Lovelace – the Deep Throat star’s biopic, starring Amanda Seyfried, was released yesterday. The film follows the story of Lovelace’s entry into the porn industry and the reasons behind it, as well as her eventual escape from the business and her abusive husband. It tracks the journey from her humble beginnings in the Bronx and her eventual notoriety, as well as the controversy, surrounding her life and career. The film features a star-studded cast – from Seyfried as Lovelace herself to Peter Sarsgaard as her opportunistic and abusive husband Chuck Traynor. He appears here as a sleazy, but still somehow charming young Hugh Hefner.

This Is The End Review

Excellent

Comedies don't get much more self-referential than this film, in which a bunch of old friends get together and play themselves facing a biblical-style apocalypse. But they also don't get much funnier. Writing partners Rogen and Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express) move into directing with this super-charged bromance that finds surprising resonance amid a constant barrage of vulgarity, in-jokes and end-of-the-world mayhem.

Rogen also stars as himself, happy that his childhood friend Jay is coming to visit him in Los Angeles. Jay prefers to live at home in Canada, far from the plastic L.A. scene, so Seth sets aside the first day with video games and lots of weed. Then they head to James' house for a starry Hollywood party, during which a series of massive earthquakes kills off most of the A-list guests. Seth, Jay and James survive, along with Jonah, Craig and Danny, and as they set up camp in James' mansion, their friendships are strained. Mainly because Danny eats their supply of food, Jay wants to go home, and Jonah is simply too nice to be believed. Until he's possessed by an angry demon.

The blinding array of cameos gives the film's early scenes a terrific kick, as big stars hilariously spoof their public personas before meeting a variety of fiery ends. An especially spiky Watson gets a few extra scenes of her own, while Cera has the most fun as a diva obsessed with sex and drugs. And Tatum gets the most jaw-dropping moment. But it's our six heroes who hold the film together, and their camaraderie adds a surprising warmth, most notably in the central bromance between Rogen and Baruchel.

Seth Rogan Talks Backstreet Boys Cameo In This Is The End

James Franco

This Is The End follows six friends trapped in a house while the world comes to an end: the land is caving in, there’s fire everywhere and what appears to be a dragon is reeking havoc over everything.

Seth RoganRogan reckons the Backstreet Boys were the perfect choice

So it makes sense that The Backstreet Boys make a cameo at the end. And according to Seth Rogan, the co-creator of the apocalyptic comedyр in which he and his actor friends star as themselves, it was the best way to end the film. He told Den of Geek: “Honestly, it took us forever. We probably knew in August or September that we needed to fill the new ending, and it took us until January to actually come up with what it should be. It took us forever – months and months and months of just spitballing what it could be. We had to write something.”

Seth Rogen Reveals: 'This Is The End' Does Not Use Original Ending

Seth Rogen James Franco Emma Watson Michael Cera Channing Tatum Paul Rudd Rihanna Evan Goldberg Morgan Freeman Backstreet Boys

Seth Rogen's comedy This Is The End did not use its intended ending. The script was changed in order to accommodate a cameo from 90's pop stars Backstreet Boys leading a sing-along dance to 'Everybody', their 1997 single.

Director and co-writer Evan Goldberg said the idea had come from an off-the-cuff suggestion from his wife on how to make the ending more interesting. Seth Rogen, who stars in the comedy, was determined to make the idea a reality.

The Backstreet Boys cameo was not exactly what the writers had planned as the original ending was meant to feature Morgan Freeman, reviving his role as God as in Bruce Almighty. Unfortunately the actor had no interest in participating in the project. Rogen was then adamant the Backstreet Boys should play a part especially, as he said in an interview with The Vulture, he is "the appropriate age" to remember when "Backstreet Boys were kings".

The Backstreet Boys are not the only celebrities to feature in this 'apocalyptic' comedy. In fact the whole film is one cameo appearance after the other. None of the actors are playing characters, merely portraying the public's perception of them.

James Franco Wants $500k For Three Films – Where’s All Your Money?

James Franco

James Franco – who was reported to earn $7m from Oz: the Great & Powerful alone – has started an indiegogo campaign to procure half a million dollars to fund three films. He's raising money so that a collection of young filmmakers can adapt his 2011 short story collection, "Palo Alto."

"Because of who I am, people often believe that it is easy to find investors and distributors for my films," Franco wrote on the crowdsourcing platform. "Unfortunately, things aren't that easy. More times than not, I have put in my own money to produce my films and my student's films. However, this time it's different; We need more funding, I will still fund part of it but I need of your help, filming three feature films back-to-back requires more funding than I can give."

Like Franco, Zach Braff has opted to get funding from the public and the Veronica Mars film also used this technique, but the aforementioned celebs have been ridiculed and criticised for using a form of funding usually utilised by those without the money to engage in creative projects themselves, especially considering how much these actors make per film.

You Should See 'This Is The End' And Here's Why

Seth Rogen James Franco Jonah Hill Craig Robinson Danny McBride

We’ve all wanted to see This Is Then End ever since the very first trailer hit the airwaves, but now it looks like a ticket to the screening of the apocalyptic party movie might be more worth it than we thought. Oh, you thought you were getting a simple-minded comedy with celebrities acting like idiots? Well, it is that too, don’t worry, but surprisingly, This Is The End also takes its place as a skewering satire of celebrity culture – part of a definite trend lately.

While, yes, there are more famous faces in the film than at a Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, what makes this film isn’t the mere presence of so many stars. Instead, the appeal is in the way the hyperbolized versions of famous actors interact with each other. Penned by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen (who also doubles as a member of the apocalypse squad in the movie,) this film sees both writers on top of their game. At the beginning of their career, the creative team set the bar pretty high with the hilarious nerdy romp Superbad. Unfortunately, they then failed to repeat the act with films like Pineapple Express.

The Iceman Review

Excellent

Much more involving than the usual hitman thriller, this film takes a deliberately personal approach to its characters that makes it unusually involving. Of course, since it's a film about mafia assassins, none of the characters are hugely likeable. But we're able to identify with them because the cast and crew help us see their souls. And of course, this kind of character brings out the best in Michael Shannon.

He plays Richie, who in the early 1960s has settled down with his new wife Deborah (Ryder) in New Jersey. She thinks his job involves dubbing Disney cartoons, but his projects are actually part of an illicit mob-run porn network. And when local boss Roy (Liotta) asks Richie to work as his henchman, Richie proves to be surprisingly adept at murder. This is mainly because he's so good at compartmentalising his life: keeping his family and work completely separate. But when things with Roy start turning sour, and Richie turns to a rival killer (Evans) for more work, Richie's two worlds begin to collide.

Based on a true story, the film is chilling in its matter-of-fact depiction of a family man who ruthlessly bumps off anyone who falls afoul of the mob. And as the clashes in Richie's life begin to escalate into something personal, the film cranks up the tension to unbearable levels. Shannon is mesmerising in the role, letting us see cracks in Richie's dispassionate surface as he's required to kill friends and colleagues (including Franco in a memorable cameo). So when his wife and daughters are threatened, he's like a tamed wild animal pushed into the corner. We know what he's capable of doing to protect them.

Amanda Seyfried Wants Her 'Beautiful, Huge Breasts' Back!

Amanda Seyfried Juno Temple Ellen Degeneres Noah Baumbach Adam Driver Ben Stiller Greta Gerwig Naomi Watts James Franco Peter Sarsgaard

Les Miserables actress Amanda Seyfried says she lost her "beautiful, huge breasts" after moving to Hollywood to pursue a career in movies. The 27-year-old - who plays Linda Lovelace in a forthcoming biopic - called in on the Ellen Degeneres show this week to discuss her beginnings.

"I looked way better when I was 15. I had beautiful, huge breasts!" the actress explained, "And then I came to Hollywood and I was like I gotta lose weight. I gotta look thin. I gotta get fit. And I lost them a little bit." It seems she lost more than "a little bit," telling DeGeneres she was an D cup though that she doesn't miss them, "...because they were ... uncomfortable."

Despite her own decisions, Seyfried warned, "I was feminine. I had some nice curves. And I think we should appreciate that instead of trying to get rid of everything."

James Franco Takes On Faulkner In 'As I Lay Dying' [Trailer & Pictures]

Jim Parrack & James Franco in As I Lay DyingJim Parrack & James Franco in As I Lay Dying

As I Lay Dying, written, directed and starring James Franco, is aiming to become the first American movie to win the Un Certain Regard award at the Cannes Film Festival since 2008's Tyson documentary. Franco's movie is adapted from William Faulkner's classic American novel of the same name and stars the Oscar nominee as a son's quest to bury the body of his mother in accordance with her wishes.

Watch the As I Lay Dying Trailer!

Though the trailer hints at Franco's penchant for the avant-garde, it looks far more of a straight narrative affair then, say, Interior. Leather Bar. Franco plays the second oldest child Darl, while Tim Blake Nelson appears to do a sublime job of portraying father Anse. Danny McBride plays friend of the family Vernon Tull while Ahna O'Reilly - who's making a buzz with the Weinstein's Fruitvale - plays daughter Dewey Dell. The movie has a reasonable chance of scooping for 30,000 euro prize at Cannes, though it's safe to assume festival favorite Sofia Coppola is the frontrunner with hipster tale The Bling Ring - still, it would be a long-awaited American success.
