James Franco-philes will be excited to learn that the actor has a new television show planned that will give fresh insight into the artistic interests of the Spider-Man actor. The arts-themed cable network Ovation will give Franco an opportunity to host his own show, starting this Fall, entitled James Franco Presents.

On 20th August, Franco hinted via Twitter that the announcement of a new project was imminent: "New show, with me, and a bunch of crazy stuff. Announcement tomorrow." He has also recently added Instagram images showing his face trans[planted on to those of famous painting figures, including Munch's The Scream, Van Gogh's self-portrait, and Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. These were accompanied by handwritten captions from James giving details about his new show.
The show will begin in November, according to USA Today, and will feature Franco's student art videos to his art exhibitits. The actor himself described 'James Franco Presents' as "an art show that is an art piece, meaning the show has synced with the rhythms of my life and work," and that "the series explores art everywhere in our llives."

Ovation have released a statement about their new programming: "From his gallery exhibits to his students' films, the innovative series will provide an exclusive opportunity to hear Mr. Franco's point of view on his most personal passion projects, most of which have not been seen by the public."
"Thousands of hours from Mr. Franco's personal video library will be showcased, including video diaries, documentary footage from his most ambitious art films and interactions with his heroes from every artistic genre."
Over the years, Franco has exhibited his work in Beverley Hills, Paris, L.A and Cleveland. According to the Glu Gallery in L.A, as reported by the actor's fansite, "The actor spends his free time painting with oils and acrylics. Franco was born in Palo Alto, Calif., to aspiring artists. His late grandfather was a cartoonist, and grandmother Mitzie Verne runs a Japanese art gallery in Cleveland.
"Franco calls his grandmother a great influence. 'She took me to Japan to meet artists there. One even invited me to live with him for a year. I didn't, and now I regret it.'"
James Franco will next appear on Comedy Central on 2nd September for a Labor Day roast.
