James Franco is clearly a very talented person indeed as the actor has taken a short break from his usual trade to become a part-time rock star, unveiling a music video to go with his original song, 'Love in the Old Days.'

The track is a collaboration with his long-time friend Tim O'Keefe and is about romance in the 1960s. If acting and singing/song writing wasn't enough, then Franco has also decided to go another one better by directing the video, making sure his fingers are in as many pies as possible.

The 127 Hours actor has long demonstrated his multiple talents in the past, being a published writer as well as occasional journalist. His foray into music then cannot come as that much of a surprise to many then it would seem.

Franco and O'Keefe have recorded the song together under the name Daddy and look set to release their first EP, entitled MotorCity, on September 25th. The album art features actresses Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine, all of whom star with Franco in his new film Spring Breakers. The EP will also feature a guest spot form legendary Motown artist Smokey Robinson.
