In case you're not excited about the film yet, this trailer should do the trick.
It’s here, finally – the third X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer is here, just one month ahead of the film’s premiere. If there’s one thing superhero movie fans can’t complain about these days, it’s a lack of pre-release materials. This new trailer essentially gives you everything you need to know about Wolverine’s mission to return to the 70s and join forces with Magneto and a newly paralysed Charles Xavier.
Watch Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart get sentimental during the film's Comic Con Q&A below.
The only setback is, Magneto and Xavier don’t really like each other very much (at all) and Magneto doesn’t play well with others. The new trailer looks and sounds pretty epic and we get a glimpse of many of the characters, who will be in it – Jennifer Lawrence as Mistique, Evan Peters as Quicksilver (the 20th Century Fox version), Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask, plus a whole cast of returning characters – you know this by now.
Things get dark in X-Men: Days of Future Past
Returning players include Halle Berry as Storm, Shawn Ashmore as Iceman and Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde. Add to that some robots and what looks like an extra complicated plot – DoFP is looking like a guaranteed hit already.
Check out the final Days of Future Past trailer below.
It’s obvious from this trailer and the previous ones that 20th Century Fox is setting this up as the culmination of the movie franchise – there’s just not much bigger you can go after a massive mutant reunion set in the past. But with , plans already in the works for "X-Men: Apocalypse" in 2016, as well as another solo "Wolverine" movie, the future of mutant kind is looking bright regardless.
