The Sit Down hitmakers were playing at the Ross Bandstand in the city's Princes Street Gardens on 26 August (15) when a fight broke out in the crowd.

A 52-year-old man was repeatedly punched and kicked and he was later admitted to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to treat deep gashes to his head.

Police have appealed for gig-goers who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Detective Constable Andrew Cory says, "Our enquiries are underway and we are now appealing to anyone who attended this event or who saw this incident to please contact police."
