The 'Billy Elliot' actor and his actress wife announced the brilliant news on Twitter on Monday (29 July)
It was a weekend to remember for Jamie Bell and Evan Rachel Wood, as the pair welcomed their first child together - announcing the splendid news to the world through Twitter on Monday (29 July). The pair didn't disclose the name of the child, but they gleefully announced that their first born is a healthy baby boy. Congratulations to the pair of them!
Bell was elated with the birth of his son
"It's a boy!! Song of the day Beautiful Boy #johnlennon," Wood wrote on her Twitter feed, with Bell later adding to his own Twitter account; "Wow! What a day. Evan you are my warrior! You never cease to amaze. Thank you for birthing our son so naturally and peacefully. You did it!"
The loved up new mother replied to his Tweet, writing saying: "And you are mine. Thank you for being there and helping me through it. I love you both more than words can say."

The 27-year-old Tintin actor confirmed the news that Evan was expecting in January this year, with the child due around the time of their first anniversary of marriage. The pair wedded in California last October in a private ceremony after spending just over a year together. The pair previously dated in 2005 until 2006, but separated for various reasons. Who would have thought that seven years later they'd be where they are now?
Once the new parents have gotten over the initial joys of parenthood, it's back to work, with Bell due to star in the upcoming Snowpiercer, as well as returning to the role of Tintin for the next instalment of the reboot. Wood will be next seen starring in the romantic comedy/drama Barefoot, due out later this year.
Congratulations to Evan and her hubby.
