How many times can you watch a two minute trailer of Jamie Dornan in the upcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey movie? Well the answer is many, many, many times, on repeat if necessary. Yes probably in part thanks to loyal Dornan-aholics the Fifty Shades Of Grey teaser has beaten Star Wars The Force Awakens to become the most Youtubed trailer of 2014 with a colossal 93 million hits!

Yes according to research by Zefr, the steamy trailer is the year's most viewed on Youtube, beating Star Wars Episode VII by over 10 million hits.

The trailer gave fans of E.L.James’ best selling novel their first real glimpse of Northern Irish heartthrob Jamie as Christian Grey and Dakota Fanning as Anastasia Steele. The story centres on college student Anastasia's relationship with troubled billionaire Christian Grey who has more than a few kinky secrets. The film will hit cinemas just in time for Valentines Day next year.

The much anticipated first glimpse of Star Wars: The Force Awakens came in second place with 81 million hits despite it only be released late last month. The 90 second clip gave us a brief look at some of the franchise’s new characters as well as the lightsaber’s updated look. What it didn't show however were returning cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford all of whom were noticeably absent.

Elsewhere in the top five, Avengers Age of Ultron came in third with 78 million hits, Jurassic World was fourth with 64 million and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles closed the top five with 51 million views.

Also making appearances in the top ten were Furious 7, Minions, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Dumb and Dumber To and Interstellar.

Of all the studios Universal came out best with five of their films appearing in the top ten, while Paramount came second with three, Disney had two with Warner Bros getting just one.
