Jane Fonda's ex-husband Ted Turner believes men should be banned from running the world for the next 100 years - because they've "mucked it up" with warfare and military spending.
The media mogul has decided to put his views to practice through his UNITED NATIONS FOUNDATION, which he established six years ago to distribute the $1 billion he pledged to UN causes. The body now has a new female-dominated board of directors - and Turner's immensely proud of the move.
He says, "I've said for years, and I'm really serious about it: I think men should be barred from holding public office for a hundred years.
"Then men have been running the world for the last thousand years, and they've mucked it up something awful."
Turner adds that if women were in control "it would be a much more peaceful, prosperous, equitable world in a very short period of time".
