Jared Followill is selling his former bachelor pad.

The Kings Of Leon bassist, who married American model Martha Patterson in September 2012, has listed his mansion in the affluent Green Hills area of Nashville, Tennessee, for $3.5 million.

The 25-year-old star is reportedly eager to buy a bigger house in the same neighbourhood, sparking speculation he is preparing to start a family in the near future.

The 'Rock City' hitmaker is clearly hoping to make a tidy profit on the property, as he bought it in 2009 for $1.85 million.

The three-storey residence sits on more than one acre of land and has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, a home cinema, gym and floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the countryside, according to real estate site RealEstalker.blogspot.com.

Jared's brother and bandmate Nathan welcomed his first child, Violet, with his wife Jessie Baylin in December, while their other sibling Caleb - the group's singer - and his supermodel wife Lily Aldridge welcomed daughter Dixie Pearl into the world in June 2012.

The rockers recently declared that ''having babies saved our band'' because it made them want to make their children proud.
