Fans were given a first look at the forthcoming film incarnation of Aquaman, with director Zack Snyder reveals just how menacing Jason Momoa will be as the sea-dwelling DC Comics superhero as 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' gets well under way.

It's all about DC at the moment with Henry Cavill's Superman having become a huge hit in 2013's 'Man Of Steel' and 'Fast And Furious' star Gal Gadot being announced as Wonder Woman in Michelle MacLaren's upcoming movie. Zack Snyder is bringing them all together in a long-awaited DC superhero crossover movie entitled 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice', and 'Game Of Thrones' star Jason Momoa is just the latest announcement for the cast - as fish-friendly King of Atlantis, Aquaman.

Snyder unveiled the first image of him on Twitter, alongside the caption, 'There is only one true King. #unitetheseven', looking rather scary and not at all encompassing the character's feeble reputation. It's unclear where the tagline 'Unite The Seven' has come from; whether it's the official name of the forthcoming Justice League film or just a reference that 'Batman v. Superman' will bring together the whole gang.

All we know is that the cast is looking ever more impressive; already we have Ben Affleck taking over Christian Bale's iconic Batman role, Jesse Eisenberg becoming Superman's arch nemesis Lex Luthor and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. Rumours are still up in the air surrounding Scoot McNairy's apparent connection to the project, though were he to join the side of good he will either be cast as The Flash or Green Lantern. Incidentally, the former is currently portrayed by Grant Gustin on the CW TV series.
