Actor Jason Segel was discovered by a movie mogul while performing in a high school play.
The actor has starred in a slew of big name Hollywood films, including Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall - and he admits he has one particular person to thank for jumpstarting his career, Deborah Aquila.
He says, "I got seen at a high school play when I was 17 years old... It's really embarrassing but I grew up in Los Angeles. So it was like a real L.A. moment. I went to a (posh) private school and I put on a high school play and later some woman came up and was like, 'Hey, I'd like to put you in movies.' And I was like, 'Well, who are you?' And she's like President of Paramount (Pictures)...
"Deborah Aquila... She changed my life... She was there because she was thinking of sending her kid to the school... I didn't have it tough getting my foot in the door, but, you still get lied to a lot."
