Jason Statham thought Jennifer Lopez was ''a lot of fun'' on the set of 'Parker'.

The 44-year-old star admired the singer-and-actress' ''terrific'' ability while starring alongside her in the crime thriller movie - which is based on the book series by Donald Westlake, which revolves around a thief who is forced to become a killer - and he thinks the 'On The Floor' hitmaker is a ''tremendous actress''.

He told BANG Showbiz: ''She's a great person to work with, she's a lot of fun. Brilliant. She's terrific, she really is a tremendous actress.''

Jason's latest movie 'Safe' sees him portray former New York police officer Luke Wright who rescues a 12-year-old Chinese girl Mei (Catherine Chan) and find himself fighting corrupt politicians and Russian mafia.

The 'Snatch' star particularly enjoyed working with Catherine, who was making her feature film debut in the motion picture, because she hasn't picked up any ''bad habits'' throughout her fledgling career.

Speaking the European Premiere of 'Safe' at the BFI IMAX in London's Waterloo, he added: ''I try and work with the same people because I really respect their skills and how creative they are. I try to keep everything real and make sure it's not too fantasy-based.

''It was great to work with someone who hadn't starred in a big action film before because they haven't picked up any bad habits. We've all been there, I was there once.''
