Hip-hop Entrepreneur Jay Z Is Expanding His Roc Nation Sports Agency Into Europe After Signing German Soccer Ace Jerome Boateng To His Star-studded Roster.
The Empire State of Mind hitmaker personally sealed the deal by inviting the 26-year-old Bayern Munich defender to his Los Angeles villa to complete the contract.
Boateng, who shared a photo of the two new business partners on his Instagram.com page over the weekend (26Jul15), tells German newspaper Welt am Sontag, "It was a great day with Jay Z. We could ask him anything. We talked mostly about music and football. Jay Z knows about football and has watched numerous games.
"America is a big market. With Jay Z and Roc Nation I have a lot (of opportunities). We want to try what is possible (sic)."
Boateng, who won the World Cup with Germany last year (14), is Jay Z's first European signing.
Other Roc Nation Sports clients include baseball stars C.C. Sabathia and Robinson Cano, boxing champ Andre Ward, American footballers Dez Bryant, Victor Cruz, Geno Smith and Ndamukong Suh, and basketball icon Kevin Durant.
