Jennifer Garner has an ''amazing support system''.

In the wake of her divorce from Ben Affleck after nearly 10 years of marriage, the '13 Going On 30' star is getting help from her close friends and family.

A source said: ''She's not a helpless deer caught in the headlights. She's much stronger than you know.

''She's grieving but she has an amazing support system. She just had no idea what was going on.''

Whilst another added: ''This is not anything she wanted as an outcome for her family or her marriage. But everyone's rallying around her.''

Despite being shocked by the split, the 43-year-old beauty - who has children Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and three-year-old Samuel with the 'Batman vs. Superman' star - is fighting through the split.

An insider shared to PEOPLE magazine: ''She is very traditional. That's who she is and that's what she represents. She's grounded and she's a fighter, but this is not what she saw for herself. She's shocked.''

Meanwhile, a source previously claimed the former couple are in no rush to finalise their divorce.

They said: ''[Jennifer]'s finishing a film so there hasn't been like, 'Okay, let's get this done now,' because they always were like, 'This is happening and still moving forward.' I don't think they're talking about it.

''They're concentrating on being a family right now.''
