Jennifer Lawrence tried to avoid the paparazzi as she walked through LAX airport to board a flight for the Baftas. It was no match for the paps though, who managed to spot the Silver Linings Playbook star, even under her purple fedora and dark shades. Jen was flanked by security, Entertainmentwise reported, as she headed for her flight to London.

She may have been trying to go incognito but she still managed to look super stylish, in her long black coat with gold buttons, white vest and ripped, grey skinny jeans. She finished off the outfit with some lace-up black boots and a grey handbag. The 22 year-old is headed to London to appear at the Bafta Awards where she is nominated for the Best Actress award, for her role opposite Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook. If she wins, she can add the gong to a growing selection: she has already won the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards for the same role, this year and is the favourite to pick up the Oscar for best actress, too.

Since wining the Golden Globe, Jennifer will, of course, have been practising her acceptance speeches, after a hideous misunderstanding that had her temporarily branded as a hater of Meryl Streep. When she picked up the award, she pretended to read the inscription and said “what does it say…? Oh, it says I beat Meryl!” We knew she was joking but other sensitive souls out there kicked up quite a stink over it.
