Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Jennifer Lopez may be more than just friends.

Even though the 'Dancing With The Stars' professional has completely denied dating the 44 year-old songstress, rumors of a romance are still circulating.

On Saturday night (June 21st) Chmerkovskiy attended Lopez's show at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, and afterwards the pair hit Shrine Nightclub together.

According to Us Weekly, the two stars remained close throughout the night, dancing and talking with one another.

"Maks was whispering into her ear and hugging her," an eyewitness told the mag. "They looked very flirty with each other...She had a huge smile on her face and looked like she was having a great time."

At one point, towards the end of the night, they were seen holding hands and as Chmerkovskiy left the club he gave J-Lo a long hug before saying goodbye.

TMZ also obtained a photograph of the duo standing very close to each other while it appears they are looking at a cell phone.

Speculation that the award-winning singer was dating the dance pro began earlier this month, with a source saying their relationship is "really new."

Lopez and Chmerkovskiy have already proven that they have chemistry after performing together to pay tribute to salsa dancer Celia Cruz at the American Music Awards in November (2013). Most likely nothing happened between the pair at the time as Lopez was still dating Smart, and Chmerkovskiy was also in a relationship with Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton.

These dating rumors first arose only a week after it was confirmed Casper Smart and Lopez ended their well-publicized romance. Their split was amicable, but they decided to call it quits, almost two months ago, after simply growing apart.

However, after Lopez recently admitted to discovering her confidence after this recent split, she might want to avoid the dating scene.

"I don't feel like I have anything to prove anymore," Lopez told Billboard's July issue. "Things have changed so much for me." Adding, "I had to really do some soul searching and just realize a lot of things about love, and now I feel like I come from a place where I'm stronger and, I think, better."
