A lot has happened since the Battle of New York. The world was attacked by Norse God, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), causing a united force of tech super-hero Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), reanimated World War Two super soldier Captain America (Chris Evans) and Loki's brother - the Norse God of thunder, Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Two years on, the Avengers have worked to defeat evil in Godly realm of Asgard, on planet Earth, and within S.H.I.E.L.D., the organisation that brought them together in the first place. Now, with Iron Man in retirement and S.H.I.E.L.D. in disarray, the world is suddenly threatened by Ultron (James Spader), a robot who seeks to destroy the Avengers now that he has been unshackled.

Jeremy Renner has revealed he married long-term girlfriend Sonni Pacheco in secret.
Congratulations are in order, although they're a little belated! Jeremy Renner, star of The Bourne Legacy, has revealed that he married his girlfriend Sonni Pacheco earlier this year in a super secret ceremony.
Jeremy Renner is an expert secret keeper
He revealed the news in an interview with Capitol File magazine, and Renner clearly learnt a thing or two during his time working on spy films such as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and The Bourne Legacy, because it kept the union a secret despite being a Hollywood A-Lister who has paparazzi following him wherever he goes. He went on to say this was the reason he decided to keep the news secret, reasoning "I have tried to protect my family’s privacy, my wife’s privacy. I don’t need her to get hammered with my life. Privacy issues are important because I want her to go about her day without being bothered."

Jeremy Renner's 'Hawkeye' is likely to appear in 'Captain America 3'.
Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye will appear in Captain America 3, with the actor confirming the recent speculation during an interview with MTV News. The idea of the Avengers character getting his own solo movie has been floating around Marvel studios for a while now, though it appears he will first join Chris Evans in the third instalment of the blockbuster franchise.
Jeremy Renner could be in 'Captain America 3'
"I'm happy to be the ensemble," said Renner when asked about the possibility of a solo movie, "I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means." This could partly be down to the fact that Renner is a busy, busy man. As well as his Marvel duties, the actor is also working on the next Mission: Impossible movie with Tom Cruise, as well as a new Bourne film.

Kill the Messenger follows the real life story of Journalist Gary Webb (Jeremy Renner), as he stumbles upon the story of a lifetime. When Webb hears that the US government was aware of the exportation of drugs to America, he begins following up the story. This, in turn, leads him to uncover a conspiracy where the CIA imported vast amounts of cocaine to sell in the US in order to raise money for the Nicaraguan Contras rebel army. Webb is then faced with the option to leave the story alone, or continue his investigation and put his career, family and own life at risk.

Sorry, Marvel nerds, no Dr. Strange news for you. But here's a bunch of other stuff!
No one is surprised that Marvel had big things prepared for their Comic-Con panel, after all it’s the biggest industry event of the year. Those, who missed out on a seat in Hall H, however, won’t have to wait long for the recaps and news leaks to start pouring in, not including (unfortunately) the long awaited announcement of the actor cast to play Dr. Strange in the upcoming film, HitFix reports.
RDJ won't be the (only) star of the show this time.
The panel, which featured the longest superhero lineup of any event ever (we’re guessing here) included Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), James Spader, who will be introduced as Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Josh Brolin, who was announced as the voice of Thanos. And breathe.
The 'Bourne' actor is perfectly happy to consider reprising his most famous role.
Matt Damon has revealed that not only would he be happy to reprise his career-defining role of Jason Bourne in the butt-kicking, Bond-esque blockbusters but that he and director Paul Greengrass would have already started beavering away on the sequel to 2007's Bourne Ultimatum if they'd found a suitable storyline.
Matt Damon Has Revealed He's Open To Starring In More 'Bourne' Movies.
Indeed, just when we thought one of the greatest action franchises of this millennium had been all neatly wrapped up nearly seven years ago, then BAM! - now we're hit with the realisation that there could be more to come from the amnesiac CIA assassin.

The temptation to predict Oscar winners in April is one that should be avoided, but equally one that is difficult to resist. One look at the Counsellor got people handing out statuettes in Spring last year, but we’ve got a feeling the same mistake won’t be made for ‘The Immigrant’.
Like the fabled streets walked while trying to realise the American dream, ‘The Immigrant’ is paved with gold, glistening throughout the trailer with a sun blushed tint. Marion Cottilard plays the intrepid Ewa, who – having been promised a savoir in the form of Joaquin Phoenix’s character, Bruno Weiss – falls into the darker depths of an American nightmare.

Ewa Cybulski and her sister Magda are Polish immigrants in search of new lives in the prosperous New York City. However, no sooner have they arrived in the US than Magda is quarantined for a suspected illness and Ewa is forced to venture out into the strange new city alone. With nowhere to go and no friends to speak of, a desperate Ewa bumps into a charmingly dapper but dubious man named Bruno Weiss. He agrees to offer her a bed and money-earning prospects, but the job he wants her to do is far from what she was looking for. He enlists her as a prostitute at his entertainment establishment, and it's there Ewa meets his much more pleasant cousin Orlando the Magician who, stunned by her beauty, convinces her that she needs to be happy and helps her find the courage to escape her ordeal.

The 'Age of Ultron' cast were snapped filming in Italy.
Last week we saw the Avengers: Age of Ultron brother-sister duo Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in Marvel's concept art but thanks to newly released on-set photos, we have been able to catch a glimpse of Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor Johnson as their superhero alter-egos filming an action scene in Italy, via Getty Images/Comic Book Resources.
Elizabeth Olsen Settles Into Her Super New Role In Italy.
The brand new snaps also afford us the opportunity to have a gander at the sequel's main villain, Ultron, who appeared in pre-CGI form as a sinister looking silver robot. Hilariously, the actor performing the movements of the baddie was photographed wearing a thick puffer jacker underneath his high tech silver scales and helmet; a feature that will be digitally erased when it comes to editing.
'American Hustle' costume designer, Michael Wilkinson, was forced to make a number of dresses for Jennifer Lawrence as she stained her white dress with Doritos!
For most of us, white dresses tend to be avoided due to the catastrophic stains which inevitably and quite magically appear all over the material and which are, quite inexplicably, impossible to scrub out. Fortunately, we're not the only ones and even the terribly glamorous and confident Jennifer Lawrence is not immune from destroying her wardrobe, even on a film set.
The cast of American Hustle, Jennifer Lawrence's pristine white dress can be seen on the far right.
Lawrence's white dress in American Hustle was the victim of Doritos stains and on more than one occasion. As a result, the film's costume designer Michael Wilkinson was forced to make a number of dresses for the clumsy star. Wilkinson, who is nominated for an Oscar for his work on American Hustle, was recently interviewed by Vanity Fair and he joked about Lawrence's junk food habits. He said "Jennifer Lawrence is a very, let's say, raw and intuitive young lady, and she's not against eating Doritos and snack food in her costume. So we were glad that we had a couple [of backups]."

'American Hustle' stars Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams are greeted with much zeal by photographers on their arrivals at the New York premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater. Jeremy can be seen having has a highly animated conversation with someone standing amongst the paparazzi, while brings her fiancé, 'Date Night' actor Darren Le Gallo, to the event.
Superstar cast, brilliant director - it's statuettes all round for sure, right?
A late entry to the 2013 awards race, David O. Russell's American Hustle is emerging as a force to reckon with. The film reunites Russell with Christian Bale and Jennifer Lawrence, who both won Oscars working with him in the past.
Hustle completes a remarkable trilogy for O Russell, a man who came to the party late and didn’t fight his feet right away.

David O. Russell deploys his deranged genius to explore the real events behind Abscam, cleverly focussing on the inter-relationships rather than the details of the elaborate sting operation. So under the wild 1970s hair and costumes, we have a series of characters who are never very likeable but are still hugely engaging. Which makes this one of the most prickly, exhilarating movies of the year.
As the opening caption says, "Some of this actually happened". It's set in 1978 New York, where lowlife conman Irving (Bale) is making a decent living with his girlfriend Sydney (Adams). Although his wife Rosalyn (Lawrence) knows something is up. Things get even more complicated when Irving and Sydney are cornered by FBI agent Richie (Cooper) and forced to co-operate in a complex scam to entrap mobsters and dirty politicians, including the likeable Mayor Polito (Renner), with whom Irving strikes up a friendship. As things develop, the sting continually threatens to spin crazily out of control. And Irving starts to worry that Sydney is getting far too close to Richie.
Intriguingly, even as the story gets more and more insane, Russell keeps the story grounded in the characters and the way they interact with each other. So their shifting relationships, power struggles and internal jealousies take centre stage, blurring the details of the undercover operation into the background. This may annoy viewers who want clear insight into Abscam, but it makes the movie much more involving. And it gives the actors a lot to work with. Each of them delivers a powerhouse performance that blends the character's distinct physicality with a complex inner life.

Come on, jump aboard the bandwagon before it's too late.
We’re going to stick our necks out and say American Hustle is guaranteed an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. And we’re not sticking it out very far; David O Russell’s stylish thriller/dark comedy completes a trio of ‘comeback’ films, starting with The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook.
‘Hustle's’ New York Critics Circle award for Best Film saw its odds shorten dramatically for The Oscars – it’s now second favourite only to 12 Years a Slave, which has been considered a frontrunner ever since it was announced. And now that the film’s reviews have been filed, its chances look even better. The critics have waxed lyrical in their respective outlets, culminating in a 95% rating on review aggregator site, Rotten Tomatoes.
Check out the brilliant clips for 'American Hustle' below.
We’re edging ever closer to David O Russell’s follow up to the much-celebrated Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, but it’s not quite here yet. In fact, it’s over two weeks until the US get hold of it, while the UK have to stay patient until January 3rd, 2014. So in the meantime, here are some cool clips from the movie.
American Hustle sees O Russell combine with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence again, but the reunification story doesn’t stop there: Christian Bale and Amy Adams also return to work with the director, after their success on The Fighter, which also starred Mark Wahlberg, a sequel for which is in the works.

Irving Rosenfeld is a conman whose impressively deft criminal exploits have eluded authorities for years. However, when he finds himself forced to use his talents for good as he is roped into an FBI sting operation led by the unhinged agent Richie DiMasom, he finds his life of partying, drinking and squandering money under massive threat. He must use his fraudulent cunning to reveal the seriously corrupt crusades of Carmine Polito, the Mayor of Camden, New Jersey, whose power cast spreads much further than his constituency. Irving is helped by the seductive but dangerous Sydney Prosser who soon becomes less of a business partner and more of a mistress. As their relationship deepens, however, they arouse the suspicions of Irving's gregarious but unbalanced wife Rosalyn who threatens their whole operation with her lethal jealousy and deadly rage.
'American Hustle' is a high-stakes gangster thriller directed and co-written by the Oscar nominated David O. Russell ('Silver Linings Playbook', 'I Heart Huckabees', 'Three Kings') alongside writer Eric Singer ('The International'). Featuring a talented award-winning cast (some of whom O'Russell has previously worked with with much success), the flick is set to hit the big screen on December 18th 2013 in the US.
Lin will sit behind the camera for the next 'Bourne' film, due in cinemas in summer 2015
Justin Lin has been signed on to direct the next instalment of the Bourne franchise, which will see Jeremy Renner return as the star of the show. Filming for the fifth Bourne film is due to begin next year, with the movie expected to arrive in cinemas in summer 2015.
Lin, who masterminded the Fast and Furious franchise - which has become one of the most successful film series in history - was announced as the director of the next Bourne film via Deadline, who also revealed that Renner will be returning as Aaron Cross. The 2015 release is being written by Invictus and Sherlock Holmes writer, Anthony Peckham.
The fifth Bourne film will be Lin's first project since stepping down as the head of the Fast and Furious franchise - which grossed over $1 billion from the last three films alone - in place of James Wan. Universal have enlisted the help of Lin to hopefully propel the Bourne series to similar heights enjoyed by F&F.
Whilst running a con, being anonymous is very important. Keeping past operations secret and your personal life out of reach from potential targets is just as important as running the actual hustle. For years Irving Rosenfeld has been a con at the top of his game, evading arrest by the police and capture by past marks but all that could quite easily change when he and his business partner, Sydney Prosser, are recruited by an unruly FBI officer Richie DiMaso.
The target Rosenfeld has to hit is one even cons wouldn't usually mess with, an elected mayor the FBI believe to be dirty. Mafia connections and lots of Laundered money are the least of Rosenfeld worries, when his wife might just become an accidental chink in their armour.
Set in the 1970's the films screenplay was written by Eric Warren Singer and David O. Russell and is loosely based on a real sting operation named Abscam which lead to the arrest and conviction of a number of elected officials.

Can Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper deliver in David O'Russell's 'American Hustle'?
It boasts a cast of Academy favorites and the movie has been talked up since 2012, though will it deliver?
The movie is based on the true story of a brilliant con artist (Bale) named Irving Rosenfeld and his partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) who team up with an FBI agent (Cooper) to take down corrupt politicians and criminals in 1970s New Jersey.
Actor Jeremy Renner became the newest member of the Hollywood new parents club this Thursday.
The Avengers star Jeremy Renner is now a father!
The big event happened on Thursday and Renner is now the proud dad of a baby girl. Renner and model Sonni Pacheco named their little bundle of joy Ava Berlin Renner. "They are beyond thrilled," his spokesperson said, adding that, "mother and daughter are doing great."
According to Us Weekly, Pacheco is Renner’s ex. Sources are unclear as to whether or not the pair are still together. Apparently she is a 22-year-old Canadian model.

Made in Germany, this raucous adventure merrily refuses to follow the usual Hollywood route of blanding-down a fairy tale for the lowest common denominator (see both Snow White movies last year). It's still pretty stupid, but it's so unapologetically over-the-top that we're consistently entertained. And it helps that the filmmakers are clearly aware of how ridiculous the plot is, so they push it even further.
The film opens with a horror-style version of the Grimm Brothers' fable, then jumps years ahead as Hansel and Gretel (Renner and Arterton) achieve notoriety as bounty hunters specialising in tracking down and dispatching witches. When they arrive in a small village, they rescue innocent young Mina (Viitala) from the bloodthirsty mayor (Stormare), then vow instead to capture the area's real wicked witch Muriel (Janssen). The sheriff is sure they're con artists, so forms his own posse. Meanwhile, Hansel tentatively falls for Mina, and the duo also meet their teen super-fan Ben (Mann), who joins them as they head into the woods.
Norwegian writer-director Wirkola has created a gonzo action-horror movie out of the familiar bedtime story, complete with wildly outrageous creatures, fiery battles and almost as many explosions as a Michael Bay Transformers movie. Meanwhile, Renner and Arterton strut through medieval Europe like 21st century action heroes, wearing skin-tight leather, head-butting their foes, swearing like sailors and shooting massive guns at anything that moves. In other words, Wirkola's approach is essentially satirical, which allows him to indulge in astounding levels of grisly violence without it ever getting too nasty.

Jeremy Renner has put his ridiculous Holmby Hills house on the property market for a whopping $24.95 million. We’re not sure that even Kim Kardashian and Kanye West – who splashed out around $11 million on their own new property recently – wouldn’t baulk at that.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the actor’s house is a Roaring ‘20’s Art Deco-Style mansion and includes a wine cellar, a theater, five fireplaces, six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and 10,005 square feet of living space. The 2-acre property features gates, a cobblestone driveway and a swimming pool with spa. Never mind having the room to swing a cat, you could probably swing an entire pride of lions around the place and still have room for more.
This is one of many houses that Renner has bought with his business partner, fellow actor Kristoffer Winters. In this instance they could be onto an absolute mint, with records showing that they bought the property for “just” $7 million in 2010. Renner’s been keeping busy on the acting side of things too though; known for his Oscar-nominated role in 2008’s The Hurt Locker, as well as action films Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and The Bourne Legacy, he has another film – Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters – out next week. He’s also about to become a dad; it’s fair to say that life is sweet for Jeremy Renner.
As red-band trailers go this week, there’s going to be very little that’s going to top the Evil Dead remake. And it certainly won’t be the trailer for Tommy Wirkola’s Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, which is so tame in comparison, it seems more like the original fairy tale than the adult action horror it’s supposed to be.
The filmschoolrejects.com site have commented on the new trailer and they are not alone in wondering how the hell this movie ever made it past the pitching stage. Of course, we’re hoping that once it’s released, it may reach the upper echelons of the ‘so bad it’s good' school of film making but it’s hard to judge from the trailer whether or not that’s going to be possible. Starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as brother and sister duo Hansel and Gretel, Wirkola has taken the traditional Brothers Grimm tale and switched it up a little so that Hansel and Gretel are (as the title may suggest) witch hunters.
If nothing else, there are lots of schlocky special effects to revel in. Witches’ faces exploding into a spiky, metallic mess, bullets travelling through the air, whilst simultaneously evolving into spiky metallic weapons. Witches being split in half by spiky metallic chains. They kind of overdid it on the spiky, metallic special effects, if we’re honest. File under low-brow.
The Bourne Legacy star also had another ace up his sleeve when he showed us that not only can he do funny, and boy he can do funny, but he can even sing too! For the first skit of the show Renner discussed how he wishes that he could write and sing all the music for his films, before taking to a nearby piano and revealing one hell of a voice. To be honest, we're not sure if the first skit was even a skit at all, because that guy can sing!
Straight after that Renner and the SNL faithful sent up California natives, highlighting and lampooning all of their cliches a tee. Then, in something of a spin on the first sketch, Renner's next performance featured Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine flexing his acting muscles in a sketch that featured the two engaged in a never ending stalemate between two gun-toting gangsters. As Levine finally walks away from the awkward stand-off Renner then injected laughs once more by turning to the fellow stand-off participants he asked the: "Was that Adam Levine?"

Gangnam Style, the Korean rap video that has taken the internet by storm, could potentially help the nation’s tourist industry. The wacky dance video, featuring rapper Psy, was shot in various locations around Seoul’s Gangnam neighbourhood – a hugely wealthy district, home to the country’s rich and famous.
Korean tourism hasn’t always been an easy sell – especially to Americans – though Luis Maravi, marketing manager for the Korea Tourism Organization in New York, has noticed a definite change since Psy’s video hit the web, telling USA Today, “A lot of people are wanting to visit that district of Seoul and tour operators are developing tours around it.” Gangnam is actually a 15-square-mile neighbourhood, considered to be the capital’s financial centre. It represents seven per cent of South Korea’s GDP and Gangnam is home to good restaurants, shopping malls and luxury spas. The United States is the fourth largest inbound market to South Korea (around 650,000 visited in 2011), though the majority of those journeys were made for business reasons. Maravi added, “We would like those numbers to be higher, but we compete with bigger better-known neighbors…I think (the video) is popular because it's fun to watch…It has a catchy beat. And it's not a complicated dance.”
Movie buffs visiting Gangnam may recognize a couple of the tube stations, which featured in the 2012 Hollywood movie ‘The Bourne Legacy’, starring Jeremy Renner.
Fifteen years later, Hansel and Gretel are still suffering from the traumatic effects of a horrific ordeal they experienced when they were children when a wicked witch tried to make a meal of them after tempting them with her house in the forest made of gingerbread. After successfully slaying the evil creature, they became witch hunters; bounty hunters of the fairy tale world, constructing various brutal ways of trapping and exterminating the monsters that threatened villages around the world with the added benefit that malevolent curses and spells had little effect on them. One day, the Mayor of Augsburg, recognising their widespread notoriety and expertise, enlists the brother and sister duo to end the torment that is infecting one town and its surrounding forests at the hands of the sorceress Muriel who is kidnapping children with the intention of sacrificing them for the forthcoming Blood Moon. It seems Hansel and Gretel have finally met their match and, if that wasn't bad enough, the ruthless Sheriff Berringer has decided that he will embark on his own kind of witch hunt, endangering half the women in the town.

But Aaron slips through the net, as does geneticist Marta (Weisz), whom Aaron needs for the meds that keep him going. As Eric's team hunts them down, they head to Manila to find a solution.

When mischievous Loki (Hiddleston) steals the tesseract from top-secret agency Shield, director Nick Fury (Jackson) and his sidekicks (Gregg and Smulders) call in their superheroes: Tony (Downey), Steve (Evans), Natasha (Johansson), Bruce (Ruffalo) and Clint (Renner), better known as Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, the Hulk and Hawkeye. And Loki's brother Thor (Hemsworth) also turns up. But calling them a team is misleading, as they find it tricky to put rivalries and mistrust aside to save the world from Loki's apocalyptic plan.
