Jersey Shore star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has fired off a cease-and-desist letter to bosses at a top U.S. clothing store, accusing them of profiting from his slogans.
Executives at Abercrombie & Fitch offered a "substantial payment" to the TV personality last month (Aug11) to stop him wearing their brand, claiming he could cause "significant damage" to the company's image.
Now Sorrentino has hit back by demanding they remove shirts inspired by his name and his catchphrases from their shelves.
According to GossipCop.com, the star's lawyers have sent a cease-and-desist notice which alleges the garments infringe on their client's legal copyright.
His attorneys argue that Sorrentino should be paid for the permission violation, while alleging the brand's bosses exploited him by asking him to stop wearing Abercrombie & Fitch.
