The actress' efforts to keep chemicals out of everyday household items and baby products have made her a very successful businesswoman and now her brand is expanding into beauty and feminine care products.

She tells the new issue of More magazine, "We are doing an organic tampon, but it won't be in a cardboard applicator. It's in a plant-based plastic compact applicator, which is the first of its kind."

And Alba admits she's always keen to hear feedback from customers, because their suggestions often lead to new products.

She adds, "I'm working on skincare, haircare, mattresses, air filters, paint. Our customers really want paint."

Alba launched The Honest Company in 2011 and the brand had an anticipated market value of $1 billion as of November, 2014.
