Jessica Simpson gave birth to her second child over the weekend, a boy named Ace Knute Johnson, her representative confirmed to Us Weekly. Little Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute, like King Kanute) arrived via scheduled C-section on Sunday June 30, the representative added.

Simpson, 32, whose fashion company turned over $1 billion, is already a mother to daughter Maxwell, now nearly 14 months old. She announced that she was pregnant again  just seven months after baby Maxwell's birth and confirmed she planned on naming her child 'Ace' in February. Ace's strange middle name comes in tribute to Eric Johnson's Swedish paternal grandfather Knute Johnson.

Jessica - who gained fame on MTV's Newlyweds programme for her ditsy behaviour -  accidentally announced the sex of her baby in March, announcing, "The crazy thing is I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous.Well, I guess I just told the world that I'm having a boy!"

During a later interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Simpson revealed her pregnancy cravings the second time around, saying, "this pregnancy is the complete opposite. Like with Maxwell, I felt amazing. Like I could do everything, eat everything. Do whatever I wanted. I had a lot of energy.This time around . . . I'm like exhausted. Eating Tums. That's my snack of choice."

With their new little family, attention now turns to Jessica and Eric's wedding. At the Weight Watchers spokeswoman's baby show, she "was telling friends she wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born." Jessica reportedly said, "Let's have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one!'"
