Jessica Simpson has resorted to slow-paced walks in her attempts to shed her baby weight as her bigger breasts prevent her from running.
The singer gave birth to a daughter named Maxwell in May (12), her first child with fiance Eric Johnson, and she subsequently signed up as the new spokesperson for the WeightWatchers diet plan to lose the excess pounds.
Simpson admits shaping up as a new mum has been more difficult than she imagined as her weight gain means she can't do any strenuous exercise.
She tells Usa Today, "I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant, and I wanted to enjoy it. I wanted to be happy and eat what I wanted. I didn't realise it (the weight) didn't all come off with the baby...
"I've lost weight every single week. (I am) eating less of everything (but) I don't believe in completely depriving yourself... My boobs are way too big to run at this point. I'm just walking... We take Maxwell out a lot."
However, Simpson refuses to obsess about her waistline, adding, "My weight has always been something that people like to comment on... Nobody wants to talk about their weight. For me, I have had to come to a place where I am comfortable with myself.
"I'm a mum now, and get to be a role model for this beautiful little girl... I'm not a supermodel. My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I'm just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiance and herself."
