Jessie J believes musicians can ''create a feeling in three minutes''.
Jessie J believes musicians can ''create a feeling in three minutes''.
The 28-year-old singer claims certain artists have the ability to put their feelings into a track and transport the listener to a certain place, or help them experience an emotion they've wanted to feel for their ''lifetime'' with one single song.
And the 'Bang Bang' hitmaker has credited Ariana Grande with that skill.

With its fifth feature-length adventure, this franchise continues its preposterous journey at full tilt. As before, it's the zippy writing, lively vocal work and colourful animation that hold the interest. The story is merely a framework on which the cast and crew can hang a series of rapid-fire jokes, pop culture references and nonsensical action sequences. And it's still mindless fun.
After their previous escapades, the expanding herd of prehistoric critters is living a happy life together, thinking about love. Mammoths Manny and Ellis (voiced by Ray Romano and Queen Latifah) are struggling with the idea that their daughter Peaches (Keke Palmer) has fallen for the too-cheerful Julius (Adam Devine). Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo) has just been dumped and feels like he'll never find a partner. And tigers Diego and Shira (Denis Leary and Jennifer Lopez) worry that their violent nature will make them terrible parents. Then suddenly there's a bigger issue to worry about: a giant asteroid is heading for Earth, threatening them with extinction. With the help of nutty weasel Buck (Simon Pegg), they come up with an idea to save the planet. They also discover a magical place called Geotopia, ruled by the groovy Shangri Llama (Jesse Tyler Ferguson).
Yes, the plot is utterly insane, especially as it is driven by the antics of franchise star Scrat, who discovers a flying saucer in the ice, activates it and heads into space, where his acorn-hunting antics trigger all sorts of mayhem back on Earth. But then this series has never had anything to do with science or biology, throwing random animals together (the dinosaurs make another appearance) for comical value while cranking up whatever suspense the writers can think of to add some momentum. They also of course pack scenes with sweet "family values" moments, plus a sideswipe at climate change deniers who refuse to acknowledge the possibility of impending doom.

The British singer is frustrated that her profile is much lower in her own country than it is in the U.S.
British pop singer Jessie J has expressed dismay that her music isn’t as widely celebrated in her own country as it is in America.
It also makes her “sad” that she wasn’t asked to perform at this year’s Brit Awards – or indeed, at any previous ceremonies – despite the fact she won the Critics’ Choice Award back in 2011 and has played at the Grammys and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Hudgens played Rizzo in the TV special, which aired live on Fox on Sunday night.
Vanessa Hudgens took part in Fox’s special ‘Grease Live’ event on Sunday evening, just hours after announcing her father’s death. Hudgens played Rizzo in the special, the role made famous by Stockard Channing in the original film, alongside Julianne Hough as Sandy and Aaron Tveit as Danny Zuko.
Vanessa Hudgens starred as Rizzo in ‘Grease Live’.
Just hours before the broadcast Hudgens announced on twitter that her beloved father Greg had lost his battle with cancer. "I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers," Hudgens wrote.
Most people are familiar with the big bang theory but not many people know just how significant Scrat is to the whole preceding. After a fluke accident (whilst trying to protect his beloved acorn) Scrat discovers a frozen alien spaceship and soon begins a collision course which will change the world forever.
The singer has refused to confirm wether we can expect to see her in the judges chair next year.
Rita Ora’s first season as a judge on ‘The Voice’ might not be over for a few weeks yet, but it appears the British singer isn't ready to commit to returning for another run. When asked if fans of the BBC talent show could expect Rita to stick around for next year, the 24 year old declined to give a definitive answer on her future plans.
Could Rita's tenure on 'The Voice' soon be over?
"Ooooh. That's THE question..." Ora told a reporter during an open mic night, where show’s remaining contestants performed for record company A&Rs."Let me get through this series first,” she then added.
The 24 year old was asked about her upcoming stint as a panellist on 'The Voice' when she spoke about the music industry.
British pop star Rita Ora has claimed that it is harder for women to make their way in the music industry than it is for men.
Speaking to the Mirror, the 24 year old singer was asked about her appointment to the panel of ‘The Voice’, when she said: “Without pulling the whole female card, I think it has always been harder for females in all aspects. Whenever we have an opinion it always seems to be taken out of proportion.”

Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande should be celebrating this week after their single ‘Bang Bang’ took the UK number one spot on Sunday (September 28th). Last week’s number one, Sigma’s ‘Changing’, which features vocals from Paloma Faith, was knocked just one place, down to the number two spot.
Nicki Minaj is celebrating her first UK number one
‘Bang Bang’ marks the first time rapper Nicki Minaj has found herself in the number one spot in the UK No 1, having previously managed to make it to number two. For Jessie J, the only British artist of the trio, ‘Bang Bang’ is her third UK number one while Grande’s ‘Problem’ made it to the top spot earlier this year.

Sam Smith is a name we are hearing more and more of recently, and it is also a name that we will be hearing even more than we are already, as his star keeps on rising and rising. In his latest brush with success, Smith has been named as the BBC Sound Of 2014 by the broadcasting company, which marks the best new artist of the upcoming year.
Sam Smith's stock is rising fast

It's all looking rosy right now for the birthday boy.
Jason Derulo has had a stormer of a week: not only has he kicked Katy Perry's 'Roar' off the top of the UK singles chart with his new single 'Talk Dirty,' he also rocked the Las Vegas iHeartRadio Music Festival stage and celebrated his 24th birthday to top it all off.
Can He Get Much Higher?
As Derulo's just-released album starts to head for the top of the charts, his lead single 'Talk Dirty' has conquered the UK singles charts to snatch No.1 from Katy Perry's 'Roar' claws which has dominated the best-selling song list for a fortnight.
The singer in the Leeds-based indie band has been chosen to replace the departing Danny O'Donoghue.
Ricky Wilson, the frontman of The Kaiser Chiefs, has been chosen to fill the remaining seat on The Voice judging panel for the next season of the BBC talent contest. Wilson has been brought in to replace the departing Danny O'Donoghue of The Script, as he joins one of four new faces joining the show.
Ricky is the final new face to be added to the show.
As the frontman of the three-time BRIT Award winners, Wilson garnered a reputation as one of the most energetic frontmen in popular music and recorded such hits as 'I Predict A Riot,' 'Oh My God' and 'Ruby.' He will join fellow newcomer Kylie Minogue, who has been chosen to replace Jessie J, as well as show stalwarts Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am. But it isn't just Wilson and Minogue who will be joining the show for the first time, as The Voice will introduce two new hosts following the departure of Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates. JLS singer Marvin Humes and Big Brother presenter Emma Willis have since been hired to present the show when it returns next year.

'The Voice' dealt a blow after celebs' exit, but welcomes some exciting new faces.
Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates have become the latest names to jump ship from the BBC talent show, The Voice. The presenters join the show's judges Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue who also revealed they wouldn't be signing up for a third series, despite the second season outperforming the first in ratings for its final episode.
Presenter Holly Willoughby Won't Be Returning To The Voice.
The remaining judges Will.i.am and Tom Jones were also reported to have been considering an exit and underwent extensive talks with the show's bosses to negotiate a contract for a third stint. Kylie Minogue and Big Brother presenter Emma Willis have both signed up to be the new female faces on the show, in the wake of Willoughby and Jessie J's departure.
In a move that could be the talent show coup of the year, Kylie Minogue has agreed a deal to be a judge on 'The Voice'
Kylie Minogue remains one of the biggest names in pop music today, with a back catalogue that most modern day pop starlets could only dream of for their future output. With this in mind, her appointment as a judge on the upcoming season of the BBC's The Voice looks as though it could be the coup of the TV talent shows, however not everyone is convinced that she'll make a convincing judge on the show.
Kylie has been brought in to add some style to the talent show
Her credentials as a pop artist need no justifying, however her credentials as a presence on television will be seriously tested when she begins her new job sitting alongside Tom Jones, Will.i.am and whoever is brought in to replace the departing Danny O'Donoghue. She is my all means a much more popular entertainer compared to Jessie, and probably more so than some of the men that she is joining, but she enters the BBC series as an inexperienced TV presenter and may struggle to assert any kind of personality and endear herself to the audience. Either that, or she'll be a massive success and be loved by all.
Kylie Minogue will have cost big bucks, but is she worth it?
The pop star, who has sold 68 million hits worldwide, replaces the outgoing Jessie J, who pulled out of the hit BBC show to concentrate on the promotion of her second album.
"I'm very excited," the Australian singer told the corporation, "I love the concept of the show and have been an avid viewer of both series. Will I be competitive? Probably more than even I imagine! Watch this space!"

Welsh singer and 'The Voice' judge could be the next to step away from the singing talent contest.
The Voice judges are dropping like flies! Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue are both said to be leaving to concentrate on other projects after two series as big red chair judges. Will.i.am is rumoured to be considering taking up a better offer as an American Idol judge and now singer Sir Tom Jones is reportedly in talks to negotiate his tenure on the show.
Could Tom Jones Be The Next Judge To Walk Away From The Voice?
BBC bosses apparently are keen on keeping the Welsh warbler on the show because of the credibility his name brings. A source speaking to The Sun explained that "Tom leaving would be another massive blow for The Voice. His credibility is a huge asset and he would be very hard to replace." Indeed, he won the first series in 2011 with his candidate Leanne Mitchell and is considered to have the breadth of industry experience vital to the show's success.

Unlike his colleagues, the rapper's plans remain hazy.
Will.i.am is still keeping mum about his possible return as a judge on the panel of The Voice. Following announcements from fellow judges Jessie J and Danny O’Donnoghue that they will not be reprising their roles on the show, will.i.am has said… not much, really. Both Jessie J and O’Donnoghue have explained that they chose to focus on personal musical endeavors – with Jessie reportedly leaving to work on an upcoming album, while Danny plans to focus on his band, The Script.
The rapper/producer is fresh off his performance at Wireless Festival this weekend.
Will.i.am, on the other hand, had the following to say to BBC's Newsbeat, while he was hosting a party as guest technology editor for Wired Magazine. When asked whether he would take part in series three of The Voice after giving away his salary for the show to the Prince's Trust, Will replied: "No. What that means is I paid to do The Voice that year. That means the hotels and the travel and the food, I paid to be on TV, because the money I would have earned went to kids in the Prince's Trust to learn science, technology and mathematics. That's what that means.”

Monster is your clue: who have iTunes booked to play at their month of concerts in September?
With a festival line up already that is sure to bring tears of unbridled joy to any self-respecting music fan, iTunes have gone and added another jaw-dropping act to their celebratory month of music this September. "Who could it be?!", you scream impatiently; well friends, be prepared to let out an involuntary cry of "hallelujah" because none other than Lady GaGa will be gracing Camden's Roundhouse stage come September.
Catch Lady Gaga In Her September iTunes Festival Performance.
Freaky pop queen Gaga will indeed be performing at iTunes Festival 2013 and The Sun have caught wind that a huge budget has been set aside to entertain the 3,300 fans packed into the London venue. September's show will be Gaga's first UK concert in seven months and will be likely to be the first live performance of tracks from her upcoming album Artpop. Sources say that her Haus Of Gaga team are spending £500,000 on the production to make iTunes' show as exciting as possible. The 27 year-old New Yorker has recently been resting in a wheelchair due to a labral tear in her right hip but one of her insiders spoke of Haus of Gaga's anticipation for the one-off September show: "The gig in Camden has a huge budget and is likely to be the first anyone sees or hears of her album. The Haus Of Gaga team have been working in secret on costumes and stage sets for the show from their base in Paris. Gaga's dancers have also been rehearsing but she's only told her closest friends about the new direction she's taking. The music is going to be a big departure and Gaga's dreamed up a whole new image for the album."

Jessie J has quit the Voice, but not before explaining her decision on Twitter
Jessie J (real name Jessica Cornish) will not appear as a judge on the next season of The Voice, the singer has announced. She is leaving the show to focus on her own career and focus on her upcoming album.
The singer has her musical career to think of.
"I've absolutely loved my time on The Voice and I hope everyone saw and knows how passionately I felt about the show," the 25-year-old singer tweeted earlier today (July 5). "However, I can't wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority," she noted in explanation of why she could no longer handle the long-term, time consuming gig on the BBC show’s judging panel.

As far as eclectic genres go, iTunes Festival have pretty much covered all the bases with a host of exciting acts ranging from Jake Bugg to Jessie J, and Queens of the Stone Age to Einaudi.
Since yesterday's (19 June) mega announcement that superstar 'Sex on Fire' rockers Kings Of Leon, had been added to the bill, along with 'A-Punk' New Yorkers Vampire Weekend, there's a palpable excitement in the air as fans apply for tickets and sit tight.
Gone are the old ways of leaping to your laptop at 9 am as tickets go onsale and hitting the refresh button with shaking hands whilst thousands of others do the same in a bizarre battle of the F5 keys. iTunes have revolutionised the festival - instead of making fans shell out hundreds to be treated like medieval peasants, wading through excrement whilst clutching a £5 pint of warm beer - they're holding their month long celebration of sound at the recently refurbished and highly trendy Roundhouse venue in Camden.
There's enough pop acts to make any fan of the mainstream wet themselves, including Jessie J, Justin Timberlake, Jake Bugg and Rizzle Kicks, with an added healthy dosage of big-hitting names in the rock world, such as Paramore, Queens Of The Stone Age, Primal Scream and Kings of Leon.

Sir Tom Jones, one of the judges of the UK talent show The Voice stayed at the London Savoy whilst appearing on the show. His hotel bill, paid by the BBC, is reported to have been £15000.
Tom Jones is one of the judges of the UK talent show The Voice, alongside Jessie J, Will.i.am and Danny Donoghue. It has been revealed today that the BBC paid £15000 for the singer (who is acting as a vocal coach for contestants) to stay at the London Savoy hotel.
The Final of The Voice is due to air on BBC One at 7.15pm on Saturday 22nd June. This latest controversy will probably cause an upsurge in viewers questioning if Tom Jones' role on the show was really worth his rumoured appearance fee of £500000 and his £15000 hotel bill. Jones, as of Sunday, will have been staying at the Savoy for 21 days.
The BBC which receives all TV licensing fees has been heavily criticised for using £150000 of this money to pay for Tom Jone's hotel bill. The company makes over £3 billion from TV licensing every year, according to their financial report, as such this bill is comparatively miniscule to their overall income. Surely someone should have asked exactly how this vast sum of money is spent before now?

Stars were quick to lend their name to this just cause, which takes place at London's O2 Arena in September
Emeli Sande, Jessie J and Ed Sheeran are all set to play a special memorial service for Stephen Lawrence, who was murdered two decades ago in a racially motivated attack. His death galvanised a nation, furthering the cause of equality in the U.K, and heralded the start of the Lawrence Charitable Trust, founded by his mother, Doreen.
Amongst the other star-studded performers set to commemorate Lawrence’s tragic death are Labrinth, Plan B, Tinie Tempah, Rudimental, Rizzle Kicks and Jamie Cullum. The concert will take place at London’s O2 Arena on September 29th. “I would like Stephen to be remembered as a young man who had a future,” explained Doreen. “He was well loved, and had he been given the chance to survive maybe he would have been the one to bridge the gap between black and white because he didn’t distinguish between black or white. He saw people as people.”
She added: “Our aim is to build hope for the future. Justice for Stephen is about all of us, every one of us, in society having justice. I want young people to feel inspired, be confident and have hope in their own future.” Proceeds from the concert will go towards the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust.
Dizzee Rascal will drop new album 'The Fifth' - a "party record" to follow on from 2009's Tongue n' Cheek - on 1st July.
Famous for wearing a cardboard shark head in the crazy video for hit track 'Bonkers', Dizzee Rascal shows he's fond of the aquatic theme, analogising his journey on Radio 1: "If my last record was dipping my foot into the swimming pool of happiness, this one is fully going for a swim - backstroke, butterfly, in every way. not just doggie-paddle."
On its 1st July release, new record The Fifth will be available in two formats: a 12-track 'standard' edition and a 16-track 'deluxe' edition that will showcase a few extra exclusive tracks.
After their collaborating together on hit, 'Wild', Dizzee will be teaming up once more with singer Jessie J on The Fifth track, 'We Don't Play Around.'

Perhaps it's time to concede defeat
When The BBC decided to take on The X-Factor, they had no idea how big a task it would be. The novelty of spinning chairs and blind judging wore of in approximately 19 seconds, and all that was left were a bunch of shoddy celebs with no charisma and an eye for attention.
Don’t take our word for it, though; Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue’s painfully contrived on-screen ‘banter’, as they strive to be seen as musical messiah’s is backed up by a slew of awful reviews, and a serious dip in viewing figures that might make the BBC’s decision to renew for a third season, for want of a better phrase, a stupid one. “The most depressing point of tonight’s two and a half hour ordeal came when it was time for the big guest performance,” writes Isabel Mohan in The Telegraph. “The coaches had spent much of the live show telling this year’s bunch what stellar careers lay ahead of them… but then wheeled out last year’s winner Leanne Mitchell.” Leanne Mitchell, whose album it was revealed last week, hadn’t even been listened to by her mentor on the show, sold less than 1000 records, reaching 134 in the charts.

Jessie J goes blonde, after shaving head for charity
Jessie J may have shaved off her trademark shiny locks, in aid of charity a few weeks ago but she’s making the most of having a shaven head and has bleached what little hair she has got, to give herself a whole new look. Today (March 27, 2013), Jessie celebrates her 25th birthday and now she’s got a whole new image to celebrate, too. The ‘Do It Like A Dude’ singer shared pictures on Twitter, showing her with the new bleached hair, huge hooped earrings and a black dress, split and knotted at the waist.
Since shaving her head for Children in Need, it’s been a busy time in the Jessie J camp, as she’s busy preparing for the new season of The Voice, as well as prepping in the studio for her new album. She recently revealed that she’s chosen which of the songs will be the first single, though she was careful not to spill all of the beans on Twitter; fans will have to wait for news on her next release.
Jessie has also revealed that she decided to return to The Voice because she believes the show has integrity and – unlike many other TV talent contests – focuses on people with talent, rather than mocking those who don’t. In a recent interview with The Sun, she said “I definitely wouldn’t be sitting in the chair if it was bad, if it wasn’t credible. It is a music show that celebrates and doesn’t ridicule.”

Jessie J's keeping 'mum' over new single's title
Jessie J has been teasing her fans on Twitter about the potential of a new single. She revealed, in a tweet, that she’s decided which track it will be but hasn’t yet let on to her 6 million followers which song they can look forward to. Earlier today (March 21, 2013), she posted a message saying “Single decided!!!!!! Waaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!” No word on what to expect from Jessie’s new material though, or when we can expect it.
What is known, of course, is that Jessie will be returning for a second series of The Voice. She’s defended the show’s ratings drop last season by saying that she’s proud to sit in the swivelling judges chair each week, because the show has credibility. “I definitely wouldn’t be sitting in the chair if it was bad, if it wasn’t credible. It is a music show that celebrates and doesn’t ridicule.”
Jessie also explained that she likes the attitude that The Voice takes to its contestants, telling The Sun recently “It is unrealistic, although perhaps fashionable, to compare any show that is brand new. The Voice is like nothing else, there is no bullying, pointing and laughing or editing to make people look horrific.”

Jessie J says The Voice is where it's at
Jessie J has been waxing lyrical about The Voice – the BBC talent show in which she judges. She reckons it’s unlike any other show because of the way contestants are treated.
She may be referring to last year’s treatment of the much maligned Christopher Maloney, who was belittled to the point of near-breakdown (or breakdown, depending what you choose to believe) by his fellow X-Factor contestants, the media and the public. "The Voice is like nothing else, there is no bullying, pointing and laughing or editing to make people look horrific," explained Jessie, who shaved her head live on Comic Relief last week , adding that she wouldn't have come back if it wasn't credible. "If it was that bad I wouldn't be back for a second series," said the 24-year-old Brit winner. "I definitely wouldn't be sitting in the chair if it was bad, if it wasn't credible. It is a music show that celebrates and doesn't ridicule." And while Jessie J didn't explicitly mention The X-Factor, the feud between the talent-finding giants is clear for all to see by virtue of the fact her fellow judges very much did. Will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue, with tongues firmly in cheek, stated they’d never heard of James Arthur.

Jessie J says she is becoming increasingly nervous about shaving her head on live television in aid of Comic Relief. The Price Tag singer first committed to shaving her hair off for charity in 2011. "[It] is something I've promised to do for a long time and Comic Relief has given me the opportunity to try and raise as much money as possible for good causes by doing it," she said.
The Voice singer will have her head shaved on the evening of the BBC's Red Nose Day televised event on March 15, 2013. "I've loved watching Red Nose Day since I was a kid and I'm so excited to join this year's team of celebrity fundraisers and help support the campaign. I won't deny that I'm nervous but I am also honoured to be part of this year's campaign," she told the BBC. Other acts set for Red Nose Day celebrations include One Direction, who will be recording this year's charity singer, a cover of the Blondie song One Way of Another. The boy-band will perform the track for the first time at the Brit Awards in February. Singer Niall Horan said, "We are really excited to be part of Red Nose Day this year. We recorded Blondie's 'One Way or Another' and we really want the song to raise lots of money and for people to show their support by going out and buying themselves a copy."
Confirming her plans for the night, Jessie J added, "Together with help from the UK public, we are on a mission to raise more money than ever before for Red Nose Day. So come on, let's do it." Red Nose Day is on March 15, 2013.

The up-and-coming British songwriter Tom Odell has been named as the winner of the Brits Critics’ Choice Award. He got his break in the music industry when a friend of Lily Allen’s took her to see him play and she was instantly drawn to the singer’s talents. Odell recently released his debut EP ‘Songs From Another Love’ and has expressed his surprise at learning that he’s been awarded the accolade of Critics’ Choice – becoming the first ever male artist to do so.
“I genuinely can’t believe it. Thank you so much. Looking at the list of amazing female artists who have won the Award already, I just hope I don’t let the boys down!" said Odell. Lily Allen – now known as Lily Rose Cooper – had already tipped Tom for success in NME, revealing “I went to see him play and signed him to my label straight away. His voice is fragile yet powerful and he sings mainly love songs. I'm not usually a massive fan of singer-songwriter stuff, but when I saw him live his energy onstage reminded me of David Bowie. It's not soppy and moany at all, it's energetic and insightful. And he's totally gorgeous as well! Blond hair and blue eyes, and simply just lovely.”
The Critics’ Choice award is chosen by a panel of industry insiders every year and is awarded to an artist who is yet to have released a debut album. Previous winners have included Emeli Sande, Jessie J and Ellie Goulding.
Brit pop singer Jessie J has postponed her scheduled UK tour by more than nine months so that she can work on her new album instead.
The 'Domino' singer, who is also a judge on the BBC talent show The Voice, has held back her first solo arena tour until the end of 2013 because she believes she needs "more time" to work on new songs for the 17 date tour. She told her fans about the news via her official website, saying, "I am honestly truly sorry, but I hope you all can understand that it's just because I would like to take more time to finish my new album. I promise to make this tour my biggest and best ever and cannot wait for you all to hear my new songs."
The string of dates had originally been slated to kick start in Nottingham on February 27, however now they will now begin in Belfast on October 15.

Jessie J has postponed her 2013 sold out tour by almost nine months, citing the recording of her new album as the reason. The British pop star and judge on The Voice has pushed 17 live dates back to the end of the 2013 because she needs "more time" to work on the new songs.
In a statement to fans who had bought tickets, Jessie J said, "I am honestly truly sorry but I hope you all can understand that it's just because I would like to take more time to finish my new album. I promise to make this tour my biggest and best ever and cannot wait for you all to hear my new songs." The run of dates - her first full arena tour - were set to begin in Nottingham on February 27, though will now begin in Belfast on October 15. It will conclude at the Cardiff Arena on November 11 (originally set for March 6, 2012). The massive rescheduling will give some fans a headache, with tickets for the original Glasgow date at the SECC no longer valid. That show will now be held at the new Hydro Arena.
Jessie J - real name Jessica Cornish - won the Critics' Choice award for upcoming artists at the 2011 Brits. Her hit singles include Price Tag and Domino.

All four judges of the UK series The Voice, which has been an enormous export to the US, are set to return for another series. Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones, Danny O'Donahue (from The Script) and Will.i.am will all be returning for another season.
The Voice has fared much better in America where viewing figures have soared, but the first series in the UK did not do so well, with ratings trailing off after the blind auditions ended, according to the BBC, however it did average at 9.2 million viewers overall. The format from the original show may change to boost viewing figures, which O'Donahue would welcome, reportedly. Apparently Mark Linsey has said that there may be less live shows in the next series. There had been rumours that Sir Tom Jones wouldn't return, but after the confirmation that it will return Digital Spy have reported him saying: ""I'm really looking forward to seeing and working with Jessie, Will and Danny on the second series ofThe Voice. I've heard there will be some important changes that will make what is already a good, strong show even better."
Likewise Jessie J said in her book that was published this summer that she'd steer clear of it, if it were return, but had a change of heart after it had gone to print. She said "I'm so happy to be back as one of the original four for series two. It's going to be even bigger and better this time and I can't wait. Bring it on." The new series is set to air in spring of next year (2013).
Robbie Williams battled to the No.1 spot with his new album Take The Crown on Sunday (November 11, 2012), though the Take That man had a few choice word for his chart rivals. Speaking on a Dutch television show, the 'Angels' hit-maker fired a barb at chart-topper Jessie J.
Asked about the Do It Like A Dude star, Robbie said, “She’s not gonna last for very long, though, is she? She’s great, Jessie. I give her 18 months,” according to The Sun. It seems he isn’t a fan of her reality show The Voice either. He said, “I don’t watch it. Sometimes it’s very difficult to go on the ‘emotional journey with the contestants’. I’m exhausted with how many times I’m to go on the emotional journey with this person who had a hard luck story and then da, da, da, da, blah, blah…I’m sure I’d be a good judge but no, I’ve got a career.” Ouch. We’re pretty sure the remarks won’t go down too well with Jessie’s fellow judges Tom Jones, Will.i.am and the other bloke from The Script either.
Robbie is actually at No.1 in both the singles and albums chart this week ('Candy' and Take The Crown), a feat he managed in 2001 when his single 'Something Stupid' reached the top-spot at the same time as his covers album Swing When You’re Winning.
Jessie J has sacked her stylist and shaken off her ‘cartoon’ look of days gone by. The ‘Do It Like A Dude’ singer has revealed, in an interview with Elle magazine, that she intentionally dressed a little outlandishly as she launched her career so that people would take notice of her, but now she is embracing herself “as a woman… and being a bit more feminine.” Jessie broke onto the pop scene with the ‘Do It Like A Dude’ video, which had her looking pretty freaky, with spikes on her lips and heavy dark eye make-up.
Now that she’s caught everyone’s attention, both with her music and with her appearance as a judge on the TV singing contest The Voice, she can afford to tone things down a little. That’s exactly what she’s done for her Elle photo-shoot and in a video interview on the magazine’s website, she reveals “I definitely am more feminine and I’ve softened my look a lot. I’m just having fun with my style, and like, exploring stuff as I’ve got more confident as a young woman.” The singer is also preparing to design a new fashion range with Stella Mccartney.
Jessie’s only 24 so has plenty of time to experiment with her image and it sounds as though she’s preparing to do just that: “It’s not like I want every song I do to sound the same, so why would I dress the same every day, or have the same hair all the time, it gets boring you know? You always want to make sure that you’re exploring yourself and discovering different layers of your personality and your look. I think it’s fun.’”
Alice Dellal made a cheeky appearance at last weeks London Fashion Week, gracing the runway wearing a backless apron, with nothing to hide away her bottom.
The nearly nude display was part of designer Pam Hogg's catwalk show at London's Freemason Hall on Tuesday (September 18th), during which Miss Dellal modelled an all white ensemble consisting only of a backless white bib dress, nurse's style headwear and platforms. She later made another revealing walk down the runway, dressed in a hardly there, black dress that hardly covered her breasts or bum - all in the name of fashion.
Hogg is no stranger to a little controversy on the catwalk, as earlier this year she whipped up an unusual ensemble piece for Jaime Winstone, one that drew more gasps and giggles that it did cries of awe and a sense of creative inspiration. Still, she is a designer who is cherished by a number of celebs and has had her original designs worn by the likes of Lady GaGa, Jessie J, Tyra Banks, Rihanna and Claudia Schiffer.

Having already been nominated for the 2012 Mercury Prize for Ill Manors, Plan B’s hugely successful album, which shares its name with the film in which he starred and directed, is making waves on the MOBO scene. Nominations include Best Male, Best Hip-hop/Grime act, Best Video, Best Song and Best Album: a successful haul for Ben Drew, who has enjoyed a successful renaissance of sorts, since he reinvented his style from U.K grime to retro-chic. Sande, who performed at both the opening and closing ceremonies for the Olympics, is nominated for Best R&B/Soul Act, Best Video for My Kind Of Love, Best Song for Next To Me, and Best Album for her debut Our Version of Events – which was snubbed by the Mercury Prize judging panel.
Elsewhere, Rita Ora and Labrinth are both nominated for four awards each, while Mercury Prize nominees Jessie Ware, Lianne La Havas and Michael Kiwanuka are also all nominated. Last year Jessie J dominated the event, which will take place at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on November 3. She won four MOBO awards, while US R&B act Boyz II Men were recognised with a special award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
