A Letter Written By Tragic The Doors Star Jim Morrison Is Expected To Go Under The Hammer At Auction On Thursday (23jul15) For Over $23,000 (£15,300).
Morrison penned the note to his friends Frank and Kathy Lisciandro while living in Paris, France three months before his death in 1971.
It reads in part: "Sorry not to have written sooner. It doesn't seem like I've been here this long. We've been travelling - in Spain, (Granada was best) Morocco, Southern France & Corsica - where I lost my jacket, money etc. & had to fly back to Paris to wait for more.
"If Sicily is anything like Corsica you'll probably love it. We'll be back in Paris around June 7 thru Sept. There's an extra room so please stay w/ (with) us. How is everything? Say hello to everyone & try to get over here."
The ongoing RR's Marvels of Modern Music auction ends later on Thursday and bidding for the letter has hit $23,000.
Autographed and rare memorabilia from John Lennon and the Ramones is also up for grabs.
