Jim Noir returns with his new EP 'All Right' released 12th November 2007 on My Dad Recordings.
All right! It's the long awaited return of pop's enigmatic tune machine, Jim Noir. You'll remember him from his 2005 debut album Tower Of Love, the unanimously adored collection of tracks from his three ultra-rare EPs plus more.
Jim's about to burst back on the scene with a brand new album. But before that, in time-honoured style, there's an EP. It's called All Right, but that's not to say it's average. In fact, if you know Jim's oeuvre, you'll know that there's no such thing as an average Jim Noir composition. The title track sounds like a trip into space on an inflatable banana. Standing On A Corner is nostalgic for evenings spent outside the local offie, with Turtles-style vocal harmonies lending an authentic '60s feel. Find Mind Grind floats disquietingly by, like a stinging jellyfish, and Don't Turn The Music Down cranks up the tempo with a lo-fi take on Neptunes-style digi-pop.
Cut from the same cloth as Super Furry Animals, Flaming Lips and The Beta Band, Jim Noir's music is assembled solo, usually in his bedroom and, more often than not, while wearing his dressing gown. There, in his hub of enterprise, Jim plots plans for the exploration of new musical territories.
Jim is heading out on the road supporting like-minded souls Super Furry Animals in October and November;
