Jimi Hendrix's early recordings with Curtis Knight & the Squires are to feature on a new compilation to be released next month (Mar15).

You Can't Use My Name: Curtis Knight & the Squires - The Rsvp/PPX Sessions will include 14 songs from the late guitar great's days as a session musician in the mid-1960s.

Hendrix also recorded and performed with artists like late soul man Don Covay, the Isley Brothers and Little Richard before his own career took off as the leader of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Two of the songs on the new collection, instrumentals Hornet's Nest and Knock Yourself Out, were written by Hendrix.
