Late Night host Jimmy Fallon and his wife are first time parents, after Nancy gave birth to a healthy baby girl on the morning of Tuesday (23rd July). Fallon’s rep confirmed the birth, as reported by US Weekly, with no name announced yet.

The couple have been married since 2007, with Californian-born Nancy (née Juvonen) working as a film producer in her Flower Films company that she co-owns with Drew Barrymore, having produced Darkie Darko and Charlie’s Angels. Fallon started his showbiz career as an impressionist comedian, earning him attention from Saturday Night Live in which he worked as a featured player in the late 90s. He took over from host Conan O’Brien on NBC’s Late Night in 2009 which became Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

It was announced in April 2013 that Fallon would replace Jay Leno as the host of The Tonight Show after the Winter 2014 Olympics, with SNL alumnus Seth Meyers succeeding Fallon on Late Night.

38-year-old Fallon and 46 year-old Nancy have a golden retriever Gary Frick who sometimes appears on Fallon’s show and will also have to adjust life to the presence of a new infant.

At least they’ll be able to adorn their home nest and make their child’s life as comfortable as possible: Fallon’s salary will reportedly be boosted to $12 million when he goes head-to-head with Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman in February - $3 million less than outgoing host Jay Leno but a hefty pay rise indeed.
