The aim of the game is to guess what phrase the challenger is saying just by reading their lips. The person guessing has to wear headphones blaring loud music so they can't hear; though of course you could just have the challenger mouthe the words instead.

The Weeknd and his collaborator Belly cancelled their scheduled appearances on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ at short notice – because of the presence of Donald Trump on the show as a fellow guest.

The musicians had been due to perform ‘Might Not’ on Wednesday night’s show (May 25th), but they pulled out soon before it was due to tape, with Belly saying that he didn’t want to be seen to endorse Trump’s controversial rhetoric in any way.

Everyone’s favourite ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ segment, ‘Mean Tweets’ made a comeback on Tuesday’s edition of the late night talk show and this may be the meanest one yet. The segment’s third music special featured stars including One Direction, Ed Sheeran and Demi Lovato, who all had to read out some of the shadiest (and funniest) comments made about them on social media.

‘E.R.’ was one of the most popular TV shows of the ‘90s, and it enjoyed a thrilling reunion of its cast members on Tuesday night’s episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on ABC. Only problem was, George Clooney was the only person to show up...

This wasn’t going to stop Kimmel though, as he explained to his guest Clooney and the audience that they’d be attempting to put together a brief skit despite the fact that everybody else was busy.

“This was kind of a last-minute thing, and we had some trouble getting the whole cast of ‘E.R.’ to come,” Kimmel said. “[Julianna Margulies] was filming ‘The Good Wife’, so she couldn’t make it. [Noah Wyle] wanted to be here, but guess he had a thing with his family, Taco Tuesday. Eric LaSalle had jury duty.”

Harrison Ford has spoken for the first time about his miraculous escape from a plane crash seven months ago, after a vintage light aeroplane he was piloting crash-landed on a golf course on the outskirts of Los Angeles.

It was only thanks to Ford’s impeccable skills and execution that he managed to walk away relatively unscathed, and what happened would have been fatal under almost any other circumstance, crash investigators revealed soon after the accident back in March.

The 73 year old appeared on a special Star Wars / Halloween edition of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ – dressed as a hot dog, natch – and spoke about his recollections of the incident, as well as the new movie.

Stephen Colbert’s first episode as host of ‘The Late Show’ on CBS was a success in the ratings, according to Nielsen, drawing millions more than rival shows by Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel.

‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, which has been anticipated for several months since David Letterman retired as host in May after 22 years in the job, got an average of 6.6 million viewers on Tuesday evening (September 8th).

This was more than double the ratings of its nearest competitor that night, with NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’ securing 2.9 million viewers and ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ with 1.8 million.

The Television Academy has revealed the first tranche of stars who will present awards at this year’s Primetime Emmys ceremony, including actress and comedienne Amy Poehler and ABC talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

The list, revealed on Tuesday (September 8th), includes a number of past and present nominees. Taraji P. Henson, who is nominated for lead actress in a drama for her role in ‘Empire’, is presenting a statuette, as is her co-star Terrence Howard. Maggie Gyllenhaal, who received a nod for lead actress in a limited series or movie for ‘The Honourable Woman’, will also present an award.
