The British author will unveil a new Harry Potter-based "surprise" every day for twelve days, starting on December 12th and finishing on December 23rd.
Christmas may have just got even more exciting if you are a fan of the famous boy wizard 'Harry Potter' as J.K. Rowling is set to release twelve new Harry Potter-based stories in the run-up to the Holiday season.
Rowling will reveal 12 Harry Potter-based surprises in the run-up to Christmas
On Friday (Dec 5th), it was announced via the famous character's official fan site Pottermore.com that the British author will unveil a new "surprise" every day at 1.00pm GMT, starting on December 12th all the way until December 23rd.
One of Rowling's upcoming festive tales will include new details about Potter's arch nemesis Draco Malfoy, who eventually left the corrupt ways of dark magic as an adult despite being heavily involved with Death Eaters in his final years at Hogwarts.
This announcement comes over a month after Rowling wrote a spin-off 'Harry Potter' short story on Halloween that focused on the spiteful Hogwarts professor Dolores Umbridge, who is branded as "one of the characters for whom I feel purest dislike," and is as malicious as the story's antagonist, Lord Voldemort.
Furthermore, the twelve pieces will also include previously unknown potion recipes and opportunities for fans to win prizes by solving "rhyming riddles."
A statement on the website reads, "With wonderful writing by Jk Rowling in Moments from Half-Blood Prince, shiny gold Galleons and even a new potion or two, make sure you don't miss out - just visit pottermore.com and answer our rhyming riddles to unwrap a #PottermoreChristmas surprise every day."
