Jk Rowling appears to have an amazing ability to reduce all her fans to collective tears with almost everything she says or does. Her latest is the announcement of the release of 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' as a script book, but she has also been using her magical world to deliver words of wisdom to needy fans.

JK RowlingJK Rowling gives the best advice

It's strange to think that all those amazingly insightful quotes from Dumbledore actually came from a middle-aged woman from Gloucestershire rather than an actual 100-plus year old professor with a long beard, but they did. As such, Rowling has plenty more where that came from. As and when her fans need it. She is the reigning Twitter Queen.

Here's a few of her most magical moments:

1. #GryffindorStrong - When a fan began questioning their own Gryffindor identity based on the struggles with anxiety, Rowling was immediately there to offer comfort, answering their question as to whether or not they were still a Gryffindor. 'Of course', said Rowling. 'Being anxious isn't who you are, it's something you're feeling. It will pass. #GryffindorStrong'.

2. The JK Rowling Patronus - The author became a beacon of light for one depressed fan who wanted to know how to 'scare the dementors that have been living under my bed'. 'They're bothering a unique, valuable human being who deserves happiness', she replied. 'Ask for help. Don't fight alone. Big hug.'

3. Curse them - On a slightly lighter note, this was the blunt response one Slytherin fan got when they asked how to stop their friends teasing them for their house. As a proud Slytherin, they probably should've thought of this one anyway.

4. You went to Hogwarts - It's a common plight among Harry Potter fans that they have for some reason never had an admission letter delivered to them by owl post for Hogwarts School. Rowling doesn't think this is the case. She managed to relieve that anguish once and for all in less than 140 characters: 'All these people saying they never got their Hogwarts letter: you got the letter. You went to Hogwarts. We were all there together.'

5. But of course - Everyone knows that Professor Dumbledore is gay by now, so naturally one fan wondered aloud (well, via Twitter) whether there were a lot of LGBT students in Hogwarts. In response, Rowling posted an image reading, 'If Harry Potter taught us anything, it's that no-one should live in a closet', alongside the affirmative caption of 'But of course.'

6. Black Hermione - There was rather a lot of uproar when it was announced that Swaziland actress Noma Dumezweni would portray an older Hermione Granger in the upcoming play 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child', given that it was Emma Watson who played her on screen. However, Rowling was quick to point out that Dumezweni was perfectly suited to the role. 'Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione', she said.

7. Gay people - When one fan admitted to Rowling that she couldn't see Dumbledore as gay and asked why she said he was, she had the perfect method of shutting them down. 'Maybe because gay people just look like... people?' She replied.
