Lumley’s TV and film career stretches over four decades, but she’s probably most fondly remembered as Patsy Stone, the dysfunctional best friend of Saunders’ character Edina Monsoon in ‘Ab Fab’. She’s also been in a James Bond film (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service) as well as ‘The New Avengers’. Outside of entertainment, she has long been a campaigner for Gurkhas’ rights.
Sharon Horgan, who co-wrote and starred in Channel 4’s comedy ‘Catastrophe’ alongside Rob Delaney, won the creative skillset writing award. Actress Charlotte Rampling was awarded the MAC Best Performance gong for her role in 45 Years, alongside Tom Courtenay, from Olivia Colman.
