Joe Jackson's Relatives Have Publicly Thanked The Medical Staff Who Took "Fantastic Care" Of The Family Patriarch During His Recent Hospitalisation In Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Janet Jackson's father was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital on 26 July (15) after suffering signs of a stroke as he prepared to celebrate his 87th birthday.
He subsequently underwent heart surgery to have a pacemaker fitted after his heart stopped three times, and he was placed in the intensive care unit to recuperate.
The veteran was discharged from the medical centre last week (03Aug15), but he only arrived back in Los Angeles on Tuesday (11Aug15) after a fall delayed his return, according to TMZ.com.
Now Jackson's children have expressed their gratitude to everyone who treated him.
A statement released on Tuesday (11Aug15) reads: ''On behalf of our father, Joe Jackson, we wish to thank the entire staff at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein for the fantastic care he has received. In particular, thanks go to Dr. Marco Knobel, Dr. Alexandre Pierei and Dr. Jose Luis Guioto for their world class expertise and professionalism.''
They add, ''We also send our love and appreciation to all the wonderful people of Sao Paulo and throughout Brazil for your amazing hospitality, support and prayers. We have been deeply touched by everyone in your beautiful nation and it made a huge difference in our father's quick recovery. Obrigado (thank you)! The Jackson Family.''
