Joe Manganiello Alexander Skarsgard Robert Kazinsky Anna Paquin

True Blood season seven, episode three premiered with a bang last night, killing off one of the series characters in a twist no one saw coming. Well, not exactly no one: Joe Manganiello's character Alcide met his untimely demise after being shot but the actor has said he had sensed a change in the wind for some time.

In dramatic final season style, werewolf Alcide Herveaux was coldly shot in the chest before being shot again in the face by the gun-wielding humans of Bon Temps.

"I called it! I called it last year," the actor told Buzzfeed. "As soon as I read the Season 6 finale and saw that Sookie [Anna Paquin] got with Alcide, I turned to my then-girlfriend right away and said, 'They're going to kill me - and if they don't, they're crazy.'"

Sabotage Review

Weak

Arnold Schwarzenegger gets one of his most complex roles yet in this messy, violent thriller, another trip to the dark side for filmmaker David Ayer. As in Training Day and End of Watch, Ayer is exploring that moral tipping point where the people charged with protecting society become a danger. But the formula sags badly in this sloppily written script, which relies on grotesque violence instead of a coherent plot.

Schwarzenegger plays Breacher, the head of an elite DEA squad that has just stolen $10m in drug-bust cash. But someone takes it from them, after which the team members start turning up murdered in increasingly vicious ways. So Breacher and his colleagues - hothead Monster (Sam Worthington), prickly Lizzy (Mireille Enos), beefy Grinder (Joe Manganiello), hotshot Next (Josh Holloway) and smoothie Sugar (Terrence Howard) - band together to find the killer. Meanwhile, two local Atlanta cops (Olivia Williams and Harold Perrineau) are also on the case, clashing with Breacher at every turn. And shadowy goons hired by a drug cartel are lying in wait.

For about two-thirds of the running time, this is actually an intriguing whodunit, complete with clues and red herrings, suspicions and surprises. There's also a sense of urgency, as we never know who's going to get it next. Although the escalating grisliness is hard to stomach (it even reduces seasoned cops to retching wrecks), as is a hint of unnecessary romance. Then when the truth is revealed, the whole movie collapses into utter nonsense, desperately straining for moral resonance but undermining its own point with gratuitous brutality.

Sabotage - Clips

John 'Breacher' Wharton is the head of a DEA Special Operations Team, well-known by authorities for their formidable skill at hunting down gang members, confiscating drugs and using firearms. Sabotage Trailer

John 'Breacher' Wharton is the leader of a DEA Special Operations Team who, although happen to be the most skilled in their field, don't exactly always play by the rules. In perhaps one of the biggest busts of their careers, they arrest a major cartel leader and uncover a hoard of meth, cocaine and a stack of millions of dollars, and subsequently wind up celebrating by sneaking away some of the drugs they confiscated. However, when the folks above them discover that $10 million has been stolen from the money they seized, John is forced to plead his innocence, though with the unnerving feeling that someone on his not-so-straight team is absolutely capable of doing just that. The theft leads to the brutal murder of two DEA agents and John must find out where the money has gone before another dies - however, the time he has is drastically shortened when the cartel kidnap his beloved wife and child.

'Sabotage' is the latest action-packed crime drama from director David Ayer ('End of Watch', 'The Fast and the Furious', 'Training Day') who co-wrote the screenplay with Skip Woods ('A Good Day to Die Hard', 'Swordfish', 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'). It is set to hit movie theaters in the US on April 11th 2014.

Zack Snyder Ryan Gosling Josh Brolin Joe Manganiello Max Martini Matthew Goode Superman Batman

The question on every DC fans lips since director Zack Snyder announced plans for the next Superman film, which will feature Batman, is who will play the caped crusader? Christian Bale, who starred in the Dark Knight trilogy, is definitely out of the running as he has no interest in reprising the role.

Here's what we know about the film so far: Snyder announced at last month's San Diego Comic-Con that a sequel is in the works and will star Henry Cavill as Superman. The script is currently being written by David Goyer, who wrote Man of Steel. The film is due to be released in cinemas in 2015, with filming scheduled to begin next year. Owing to the film's tight schedule, reports are suggesting Snyder's casting decisions will be revealed in the next few weeks.

The threat may have been vampires initially yet the story lines have included a whole host of supernatural creatures including fairies, werewolves, shape-shifters and even occasionally a good old fashioned human murderer. Plot lines have run wild on a number of occasions, leaving viewers desperately trying to remember where we left a character; what creature they were and how on earth they survived a bullet wound to the head.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Next Film Donate Thousands To Charity To Say Thanks For Filming Rights

Arnold Schwarzenegger Sam Worthington Joe Manganiello Terrence Howard

Whilst currently promoting his new film, The Last Stand, Arnold Schwarzenegger is already planning his next move by gaining permission to shoot his next film at the home of Mike Briggs, President-Elect for Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types, Inc.

Briggs gave Arnie and the rest of the film crew for the upcoming movie Ten permission to film scenes at his scenic home, but only on one condition: that the production team pledge all of the rental fees Briggs would be receiving for donating his land to his charity, FIRST. True to the agreement, earlier this week the offices of FIRST received a $35,000 cheque and a big thank you from Arnie and the rest of the film's team.

“I told them they were free to film at my home, as long as they agreed to donate all of the rental fees associated with the use of my property to FIRST,” said Briggs, was made president of FIRST this month, adding,  “When the producers heard that, they decided to make the donation larger and have donated $35,000 to the Foundation. We couldn’t be more thrilled.”

Magic Mike Review

Very Good
A film about male strippers promises Showgirls (or at least Burlesque) levels of camp guilty-pleasure fun for female and gay-male audiences. But look again, because the trailers are misleading. This is a Steven Soderbergh film, and he's a serious director who enjoys twisting genres in intelligent ways. Even his comedies (the Ocean's Eleven series) are smart and surprising. Furthermore, the story is based on star Channing Tatum's own experiences as a stripper while he sought work as an actor, so the plot doesn't fall into the usual formula.

Tatum plays Mike, a construction worker who moonlights as a stripper in a women-only club in Tampa, Florida. When he notices hot, 19-year-old Adam (Pettyfer) on the building site, he invites him along to the club, where owner Dallas (McConaughey) is hoping to take the show to the Miami big time. Soon Adam is part of the team (which includes actor-hunks True Blood's Manganiello, White Collar's Bomer and CSI Miami's Rodriguez), but he also gets tempted by the darker side of the scene, namely girls and drugs.

What To Expect When You're Expecting Review

Weak
The odd moment of honest drama or genuinely witty humour catches us completely off guard, because this is one of those resolutely bland Hollywood star machines that bears no resemblance to the real world at all.

In Atlanta, TV fitness guru Jules (Diaz) is about to reveal that she's pregnant by her celebrity dance show partner Evan (Morrison). Meanwhile, Holly and Alex (Lopez and Santoro) are looking into adoption even though they're not sure they're ready; Wendy and Gary (Banks and Falcone) are finally expecting after trying for years, only to be upstaged by Gary's dad (Quaid) and his much younger wife (Decker); and food truck operators Rosie and Marco (Kendrick and Crawford) rekindle their teen romance with unexpected results.

What To Expect When You're Expecting Trailer

What to Expect When You're Expecting is a comic adaptation of the New York Times' bestselling pregnancy advice book of the same name. The film centres around five couples whose lives are turned upside down when they learn of their forthcoming parenthood. Whilst Jules and Evan (a fitness guru and a dance show star, respectively) struggle to fit the demands of pregnancy into a busy showbiz lifestyle, the author Wendy finds herself in a spin when her body is held hostage by her rampant pregnancy hormones. Meanwhile, Wendy's husband Gary finds himself competing with his own father, who is expecting twins with his much-younger partner Skyler.
