Joe Perry fainted on stage due to exhaustion.

The 65-year-old musician had to receive medical attention after he collapsed during his performance with his band the Hollywood Vampires at the Ford Amphitheatre at Coney Island in Brooklyn on July 10.

It is believed the music legend had a cardiac arrest, but it has since been confirmed he passed out because of dehydration and tiredness.

Perry was rushed to Coney Island hospital before being treated at Columbia Presbyterian in Manhattan, before being discharged and sent back to his California home to rest where his is now stable.

A representative for the band told Rolling Stone: ''Joe Perry is stable and resting. His brother Vampires and fans wish him a speedy recovery.''

Meanwhile Steven Tyler - who formed part of the American rock band Aerosmith alongside Perry - has expressed his concern for the band who have crammed in a lot of concerts into their busy schedule in recent months, which has seen a number of health issues arise from the six string strummers.

Speaking to Pulse of Radio, the 68-year-old singer said: ''I've had calls in for two days and I'm really concerned ... it's starting to scare me a little bit.

''I know my brother. He's always asking me to do three, four shows in a row. I know how to maintain my career, my health. I don't think he knows how to.

''I think he's out there and someone's over-booking him''.
