Veteran rocker Joe Perry is set to lift the lid on his time in Aerosmith in a new book.
The guitarist is putting pen to paper to document his life story in a new autobiography and he started work on the project this week (beg20Feb12).
Perry announced the news to fans on but has yet to reveal any more details about the book.
In a post on the microblogging site, he writes, "Officially started writing my biography (sic) this week. More info to come soon re: publisher, tentative release date, etc..."
The rocker will be the third member of the legendary band to write an autobiography - frontman Steven Tyler published his own book, Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?, last year (11), while drummer Joey Kramer released Hit Hard: A Story Of Hitting Rock Bottom At The Top in 2009.
Bassist Tom Hamilton is also working on a book, but his will be a novel featuring be a fictionalised version of his life story.
