John Corbett will not appear in 'Sex And The City 2'.

The 48-year-old actor, who played lead character Carrie Bradshaw's love interest Aidan Shaw in series three and four of the TV show, laughed off speculation he star in the forthcoming movie sequel.

He said: "There have been some rumours around that I'm going to be in it but they're just not true. I'd love to, I love all those people, they're good friends. I'm jealous, I want to be in those movies."

He also claimed that the four leading ladies - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - would likely keep on making movies.

He said: "I think it'll go on until they're old bag ladies."

Details of the storyline for the second film have been kept tightly under wraps, although Kim Cattrall - who plays man-eater Samantha Jones - has been pictured in a wedding dress.

It has been confirmed Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz will play a minor role in the film, and Liza Minelli and Miley Cyrus are also believed to taking part.

'Sex and the City 2' will be released worldwide in May.
