Chrissy Teigen has decided she will no longer be using Photoshop to edit her social media pictures. The 29-year-old model, who is the wife of John Legend, discussed her decision whilst appearing on The Meredith Vieira Show on Friday (24th April). Teigen responded to a question from Vieira about the recent picture she posted on Instagram in which she showed her fans the bruises she had acquired by accidentally bumping in to kitchen counters. In doing so she also showed that she had stretch marks on the tops of her legs. Although many celebrities would have edited the image to hide the marks, Teigen took a refreshing approach by joking about her stretch marks in the picture's caption.

The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson, stole the show in the first episode of Spike’s ‘Lip Sync Battle’ which pits a pair of celebs against each other every week in the ultimate miming contest. The former WWE champ teamed up with rapper Common to take on Jimmy Fallon and John Legend on Thursday evening, demonstrating his miming skills to Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’.

Johnson performed Swfity’s modern pop classic, as well as donning the infamous John Travolta white suit for a rendition of the Bee Gee’s ‘Stayin’ Alive’. The 42 year old’s partner Common also performed Lionel Richie’s 'All Night Long' and 'I Want You Back' by The Jackson 5, helping to secure victory for the pair.

Sam Smith has scored a rare ‘double Number 1’ in the UK’s Official Charts this week. His recent single ‘Lay Me Down’ sits atop the UK Singles Chart and his debut LP In The Lonely Hour has returned to the summit of the Official Albums Chart as well.

A re-recording of ‘Lay Me Down’ as a duet with soul singer John Legend was released as the official Comic Relief / Red Nose Day single for 2015, and his live performance of it on Friday night helped it achieve sales of 105,000. The song dislodged last week’s Number One ‘King’, by newcomers Years & Years.

The Super Bowl is possibly the most anticipated and well-known sporting event of every year; a game of American Football, set to decide the National Football League champion team for that season. On 1st February 2014, the New England Patriots fought the Seattle Seahawks for the title, in a game that saw Quarterback Tom Brady win his fourth Super Bowl and third Super Bowl MVP award. In the end, the New England Patriots won the game with 28, against the Seattle Seahawks 24.

Idina Menzel received the honour of singing the American National Anthem during the opening ceremony, while Katy Perry received critical praise for her half-time show performance, featuring Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott. With the Super Bowl being such a loved sporting event, it should be no surprise that a whole host of celebrities made an appearance at the show to watch their favourite teams. Amongst those in attendance were Snoop Dog, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Chris Pratt, Anna Faris and many more.

It's not easy to be a pioneer in music nowadays, but Barbra Streisand seems to have managed it with the release of her thirty-sixth album 'Partners'. The record has debuted at the top spot on the US Billboard Chart, making Streisand the first singer to have a number one album in six consecutive decades.

Her first album to reach the top spot was 'People' back in 1964, and she has gone on to have a further nine reach number one in the US, including her latest one. With her ten number one albums, she is now tied for fourth place with the most number one albums alongside Elvis Presley. Ahead of her are The Beatles (19), Michael Jackson (13) and Bruce Springsteen (11), but Streisand is still the most successful female artist. She has also scored six number ones in the UK album chart and thirteen in other countries. She has also achieved five number one singles, her last being 'Woman in Love' which was released in 1980.

Congrats to Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade, who just tied the knot on Saturday, August 30. The couple kept the celebrity habit of marrying in castles – fitting for modern day aristocracy, really – and had their big (well, not that big) do at Chateau Artisan in Miami.

Beautiful couple award? We think so.

The intimate gathering was attended by a small group of close friends and family, including John Legend, who performed at the wedding reception. This is a second marriage for both 41-year-old Union and 32-year-old Wade, who plays for Miami Heat. His proposal back in December was a rather endearing moment, aided by his two children from a previous marriage, sons Zaire and Zion, and his nephew, Dahveon, whom he's raising.

Lionel Richie’s Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony during the BET Awards on Sunday was moving, inspiring and… wrong. Well, part of it was, anyway. Richie received musical tributes by Pharrell Williams, John Legend and Yolanda Adams, each of whom performed a song by the soul legend.

Despite the typo, the ceremony and musical tributes marched on.

Even though his name was repeated multiple times during the show and we’re guessing BET staff know how to use spell check, someone still misspelled Richie’s name as Ritchie on screen. Before the mistake was noticed or acknowledged, Twitter took the typo and ran with it. The misspelled name quickly started trending on the website and many people seemed unaware of the mistake.

Whoever was in charge of the captioning at last night's BET Awards should hang their head in shame after they misspelled the name of the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award, Lionel Richie. During the televised coverage of the Black Entertainment Television Awards on Sunday night (29th June), which was watched by millions around the world, the broadcasting team managed to spell Richie's surname as "Ritchie."

Sure, plenty of worse things could have happened, but it's still a pretty embarrassing move considering Richie was practically the guest of honor at the bash. To make matters worse, the mistake flashed on the screen in large lettering as the 65 year-old soul star headed to collect his prize.

Soon the hashtag "#lionelritchie" began trending on Twitter as viewers picked up on the blunder and quickly spread the news leading to embarrassment for the show's production team.

BET Awards weekend started with a tragedy this year, when a guest at Meek Mill’s pre-awards party ended up in hospital with stab wounds. The incident took place on Saturday night, June 28,  at Lure nightclub. Meek Mill was hosting a rousing pre-BET bash, when a fight broke out. The 20-something man was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital, but TMZ has obtained footage of him laying on the curb waiting for help while a friend yells at the police officers to hurry the ambulance.

Meek Mill himself was not directly involved in the brawl.

The man incurred two stab wounds in the stomach, but his condition is stable, the website also reports. The reason for the fight has not been uncovered so far. The man’s identity and that of his attacker are being withheld. The party was also attended by The Game, Lil Boosie, Mase and actress Kyla Pratt.

Lionel Richie has been tapped to perform during the annual award show, as well as being this year’s Lifetime Achievement honoree. Currently in the fifth decade of his career, Richie’s list of achievements is quite impressive. He has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and won five Grammy awards. His music has changed the face of soul and R&B, but Richie frequently crosses genre lines to experiment with pop, soft rock and even country.

It’s no Hogwarts, but it just might be the next best thing. Actress Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the hit franchise Harry Potter, recently graduated from the Ivy League school Brown University for a degree in English literature. Enrolling in the school in 2009, the degree had been a work in progress as Watson took breaks in between to finish off the remaining Harry Potter films, and she even worked on her schooling abroad as she studied at Oxford University in England, as well. You’d think adapting to the college life could be difficult for someone with such a star status, but Watson said it was pretty easy adjusting. "I've never even been asked for an autograph on campus," she said in an interview in 2013. "I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook."

Watson joins the list of quite a few celebrities that have graduated from top tier schools, and it’s an admirable accomplishment whether it was done before they became famous, or after. In fact, there’s probably a ton of your favorite celebrities that you never even knew had a degree in some weird categories completely unrelated to their career choice. Either way, for these actors and musicians, they’ve proven that at one point or another, an A mark was once a more important accolade than an Oscar or a Grammy.

The Dutch rapper-turned-singer Mr Probz has gone straight in at No.1 with his tune 'Waves'. Probz sold 127,000 copies of the track, which is his debut UK release. He is the latest Dutch artist to top the UK singles chart, following the 2013 success of Bingo Players, Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero.

The singers will perform at London’s Twickenham stadium on June 1st alongside a host of other international acts, including Florence + the Machine, Haim, Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, Laura Pausini, Rita Ora and Timbaland. Chime for Change was founded by Gucci and profits from the initiative go to various NGOs around the world, which aim to affect change in the lives of underprivileged women.

John Legend himself has been working with various organisations, focusing on women’s rights, for a long time. For The Huffington Post, the singer said he was “inspired” to act after traveling to Ghana with Millenium Promise co-founder Professor Jeffrey Sachs, who wrote The End of Poverty.

The Grammy Award winner is excited to perform alongside Beyonce.

Singer John Legend has spoken of his overwhelming excitement after being asked to join the likes of Beyonce, Gucci creative director Frida Giannini and actress Salma Hayek Pinault for the Chime For Change charity project. Speaking to the Huffington Post, the singer discussed his involvement in the charity concert and discussed what Chimes For Change hopes to achieve, as well as detailing his admiration for Mrs Carter, with whom he will be sharing a stage with at the Twickenham-based festival this summer.

'It's a pretty dynamic group of people and I'm proud to be part of it,' he told the online journal during his recent visit to London, before going on to detail his admiration for the show's host and headliner Beyonce and why it makes 'it makes perfect sense' for the show to be held in the UK capital. The charity movement itself aims to curtail poverty and give everyone an equal chance, and as Beyonce put it in a recent video message addressing the charity, 'Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible.'

The global campaign for female empowerment will culminate with the Chimes For Change concert at London’s Twickenham Stadium on 1 June will feature, as well as Beyonce and Legend, Ellie Goulding, Florence + the Machine, HAIM, Iggy Azalea, Laura Pausini, Rita Ora and Timbaland. John Legend and Beyonce are among the stars who have signed for a special concert at London’s Twickenham stadium on June 1^st in aid of Chime For Change, a global campaign for girls’ and womens’ empowerment. Legend has been talking to the Huffington Post about the event and bigged up the fact that he and Beyonce would be taking to the same stage, even teasing - very slightly mind – that they could do a duet together. Discussing his fellow performer, Legend commented that “we have a very high mutual respect for each other," adding “I don't know, I'll have to talk to Mrs Carter about that," regarding any sort of possible live team-up. As well as Beyonce and Legend, the line-up includes Ellie Goulding, Florence + the Machine, HAIM, Iggy Azalea, Laura Pausini, Rita Ora and Timbaland, prompting Legend to comment "It's a pretty dynamic group of people and I'm proud to be part of it."

Commenting on the concert via a video message, Beyonce said "Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible.” It’s part of a busy year for Be, with the star set for a world wide tour, with some fans in uproar over decision to tour under the name of her husband Jay Z’s surname Carter.
