Fact: Soul veteran John Oates is adding author to his resume after signing a book deal for his memoir. The Hall & Oates star will delve into his "pretty detailed" journals for an "intimate and fascinating" story about his life and music career for release in late 2016. The autobiography will be published by executives at St. Martin's Press.

Fact: Jack Johnson and Daryl Hall & John Oates will share top billing with kids' act Yo Gabba Gabba at the 2013 Life is Good Festival in Massachusetts. The two-day family event will be held at Prowse Farm in Canton on 21 and 22 September (13). The Roots, Dawes and Amos Lee are also on the bill.
