John Travolta has denied claims that he sexually assaulted an unidentified masseur in January 2012, Bbc News reports today (May 8, 2012). According to the report, a spokesman for Travolta has stated that the allegations are "baseless" and says that John intends to get the case thrown out "Then he will sue the attorney and plaintiff for malicious prosecution."
The claims, which first emerged in a March edition of the National Inquirer, state that Travolta attempted to initiate "at least one sex act" at a hotel in Beverly Hills on January 16, 2012. However, Travolta's spokesman has claimed that his client was not even in Beverly Hills on that date and wasn't even in California. He went on to say "None of the events claimed in the suit ever occurred" and stated that the legal action was "a complete fiction and fabrication." The anonymous masseur - referred to as John Doe in the court documents - is suing Travolta for $2 million for assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The court documents reveal that Travolta allegedly exposed himself and groped the masseur, despite his protests. When he threatened to call the police, Travolta then allegedly paid him $800. Travolta is married to the actress Kelly Preston. Kelly has borne three of his children, though their son Jett died whilst they were holidaying in the Bahamas in 2009.
