Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp has showed her support for her father following allegations that he was violent towards estranged wife Amber Heard. On Friday Heard was granted a temporary restraining order against Depp, after she alleged he had been violent towards her during their marriage.

On Instagram 17-year-old Lily-Rose shared a throwback picture of herself as a toddler with her father and wrote: ‘My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same.’

Hours later she shared a screencap of a section of a May 27th article by People magazine, which stated that officers found ‘no evidence of any crime,’ when they investigated Amber Heard's domestic abuse claim against Depp on May 21.

Depp has also been supported by Lily-Rose’s mother Vanessa Paradis, who he dated for 14 years prior to his marriage to Heard. In a handwritten letter reportedly penned by Paradis and published by TMZ, the singer and actress called the allegations about Depp ‘outrageous’.

“In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years,“ Paradis reportedly wrote. “He is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe with all my heart, that these recent allegations being made are outrageous.”

Depp himself is yet to address the recent allegations, but after news of the couple’s split was made public his spokesperson released a statement saying he hoped the divorce would be ‘resolved quickly.’

”Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life,” the statement read. “Hopefully, the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.“
