He's one of the most effective and most courageous war heroes America has to offer and, now commanding a Sherman tank named Fury with a group of just five soldiers, he must lead his men into a highly risky operation right on their enemies' doorstep. Not only has he and his boys got the threat of serious outnumbering ahead of them, but Wardaddy also has to tutor a terrified new recruit named Norman Ellison, who's less than okay with shooting down hundreds of men in a vehicle he has never used before. It's all about having each other's backs and keeping everyone motivated to keep on fighting, but when a platoon of three-hundred German soldiers strike out, it doesn't look like that will be enough to keep them alive.

The Wolf Of Wall Street - Clips

It's a wild ride of drinking, drugs, debauchery and deception when the ambitious Jordan Belfort decides that he wants to be one of the rich kids. Starting out his stockbroker business in a small office with a handful of employees, his aims are simple; target only the richest people in the country. It isn't long before Belfort and his team find themselves with more money than they know what to do with and begin to live their lives manically high off the success. However, Belfort hasn't exactly been making what you'd call an honest living and pretty soon the secrets of his fraudulent profits and money laundering draws attention from the authorities. And not only that, his disregard for others' sufferings means he's got a lot more to lose than his beloved business.

'The Wolf of Wall Street' is a gritty white-collar crime drama based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, a former stockbroker who served 22 months in prison for his fraudulent activity in 1998 and subsequently wrote two memoirs entitled 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and 'Catching the Wolf of Wall Street'. The new movie has been directed by the Oscar winning Martin Scorsese ('Shutter Island', 'Goodfellas', 'The Departed') and written by multi-Primetime Emmy winning writer Terence Winter ('The Sopranos', 'Boardwalk Empire', 'Brooklyn Rules').

Boy, Are We Happy To Have You Back In TV With 'Mob City,' Frank Darabont

Frank Darabont Jon Bernthal Jeffrey DeMunn

He played a huge part in bringing The Walking Dead to TV screens, and contributed to the best parts of the zombie drama; he wrote the screenplays for – and directed - The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption, and now he’s back on the small screen with a noir, period drama called Mob City. Boy, it’s nice to have you back, Frank.

Mob City Cast
Darbont's Mob City hits town tomorrow, December 4th, on TNT.

It’s no secret that Darabont’s exit from AMC’s The Walking Dead – their marquee show, despite owning Breaking Bad and Mad Men, with phenomenal viewing figures – damaged the show. Fans noticed a dip in quality, some more than others. This humble writer fell right out of love with it. So the news that Frank is back on the small screen – a trajectory he sees many actors making, for very good reasons – is very good indeed.

TNT's Upcoming "Mob City" To "Air" First Episode Over Twitter - 140 Characters At A Time

Jon Bernthal Milo Ventimiglia Ed Burns

Social media isn’t on the rise any more, it’s booming and taking over in new and creative ways, as TNT’s promotional stunt for their upcoming Mob City demonstrates. The channel will promote its “three-week television event,” by tweeting out the script for the first episode, in its entirety, 140 characters at a time.

Jon Bernthal, Expo Canada
Jon Bernthal stars in this inovative (at least in its promotion) drama.

We wouldn’t worry about spoilers though, since even followers of the show’s Twitter (@MobCityTNT) probably won’t be able to keep up with the hundreds of statuses this is bound to produce. The “adaptweetion” will go live line by line, two days before the premiere, the network has announced, via Deadline. The project, a collaboration between TNT and Deutsch NY is a 1940s period series, focusing on 1940s Los Angeles.

Wolf Of Wall Street Trailer

Jordan Belfort started out his stockbroker business in a tiny office with a small group of people and had the intention of targeting only the richest people in America as their clientele. With such a small percentage of individuals lined up as hopeful patrons, their dreams of immense fortune and a life of luxury seemed embarrassingly unlikely. However, pretty soon the company starts to ooze more money than they can handle and it's parties, alcohol and women all round. Unfortunately, it soon becomes clear to everyone that what Belfort was doing to earn his fortune is not entirely legal and he risks his freedom and his wealthy lifestyle when the FBI get involved.

'The Wolf of Wall Street' is a white-collar crime drama based on the two memoirs by the real Belfort, who was jailed in 1998 for a string of fraudulent offences including money laundering. The autobiographies have since been translated into 18 different languages and now the Oscar winning Martin Scorsese ('Shutter Island', 'Goodfellas', 'The Departed') directs the screen adaptation which has been written by multi-Primetime Emmy winning writer Terence Winter ('The Sopranos', 'Boardwalk Empire', 'Brooklyn Rules'). The movie is set to be release on January 17th 2014.

Very Good

Dwayne Johnson tries to flex his acting muscles in this smarter-than-usual action movie, based on a true story that gets under our skin. He's never played someone as fragile as this, which is fascinating even if the film ultimately can't resist cranking up the action while turning rather preachy.

Johnson plays John, a construction company owner whose bright 18-year-old son Jason (Gavron) is caught in a drugs sting by an undercover agent (Pepper). Jason is facing 10 years in prison, and offered a way out if he can finger another drug dealer. But he doesn't know any, since he was set up himself. So John makes a deal with a federal prosecutor (Sarandon) to find a big dealer himself. He convinces reluctant ex-con employee Daniel (Bernthal) to work with him, contacting a local dealer (Williams) before going after the kingpin (Bratt). But of course things get increasingly dangerous the deeper they go.

While Johnson's acting chops aren't terribly subtle, he's such a charismatic screen presence that we are fully engaged with him from the start. The tender scenes between him and Gavron add weight to the whole story, while the tetchy connection between him and Bernthal keeps the film on a knife edge. By contrast, Sarandon and Pepper are pretty much just scene-stealing sharks using innocent people to do their dirty work.

TNT have announced a thoroughly impressive line-up for their fall programming schedule, with Frank Darabont's Lost Angels standing out as one of the most hotly anticipated shows on the list. Like the book, Lost Angels is set in set in 1940s and ’50s Los Angeles, when the LAPD was even more corrupt than it is now and the criminal underworld was much closer to the surface of the city than even the most corrupt cops would have wanted. The series executives have maintained that it will remain as true to the book as possible, but will also explore elements of the criminal world that are overlooked in the book, notably the African-American and Hispanic culture that were becoming more prominent by the 1950's.

His father is a strong believer of his innocence and will do everything in his power to have his son let off. He visits a lawyer who says that he can be granted his liberty if he acts as an informant in the gang and help the police make arrests. He does so and uses his construction business to find a manual labourer who may have contacts to the criminal world and be able to offer him an introduction. With the offer of help, he is soon ranked highly in the mob which increases his chances of collecting information, but puts his own life and the lives of his wife and young child at immense risk. Just how far will he go to protect his son from wrongful imprisonment?
