Veteran rocker Jon Bon Jovi has credited a musical neighbour with placing him on the path to chart stardom.
The Bon Jovi frontman nearly gave up on a music career after becoming frustrated while trying to learn how to play guitar when he was a teenager.
He threw the instrument down his basement stairs, but was stunned when a neighbour spotted the tantrum and vowed to give him music lessons.
