Jon Bon Jovi gave an Australian bride a wedding day memory like no other when he walked her down the aisle in Las Vegas on Saturday (13Oct13).
Branka Delic kicked off an international campaign to woo Bon Jovi to her nuptials months ago, when she placed an ad in her local paper, the Hornsby Advocate this summer (13), and she followed that with a Facebook.com page titled Bon Jovi, Walk Me Down the Aisle?
It seems the website and the media interest it received caught the eye of her rock idol, who was in Vegas for a Bon Jovi show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
He showed up at the Graceland Wedding Chapel for the ceremony and agreed to walk the bride down the aisle after sending a limousine to pick her up.
The blushing bride, from New South Wales, tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph her rock hero greeted her with the words, "So, are we going to do this?"
She adds, "There were all these other brides there and you should have seen the looks on their faces... I didn't cry because I didn't want to ruin my make-up and look awful.
"You hear about famous people being stuck up but he was just divine."
She later tweeted, "@BonJovi you did more than make my dream come true, you changed my life forever! An amazing man with an amazing generous heart."
The ceremony brought back happy memories for Bon Jovi - he wed wife Dorothea in the same chapel in 1989.
The rocker took to Twitter after the nuptials to wish the new Mr and Mrs. Gonzalo Cladera all the best, writing, "Congratulations @branksd! May you & Gonzalo have a lifetime of happiness, love & memories together - Always!"
